Chapter 3:
I spun around and was greeted by Raiden. He examined my face, as if he was memorising it. I blushed and took a few steps away from him, accidentally bumping into Zach.
"Woah, be careful," Zach grabbed my arms. Raiden snarled his teeth and dashed towards me in an instant.
"Don't touch her," he demanded Zach with a low tone.
Zach immediately withdraws his arms and I quickly scrambled away from both of us. Too much testosterone for me to handle. My gaze darted to Raiden, who was studying me with an adorably confused expression, then to Zach, who was smirking at Raiden.
When Raiden saw that I was looking at Zach, he turned his head. Zach walked up to Raiden and they did the guy handshake thing. What's going on? Do they know each other?
Raiden flicked his head at Zach in which Zach nodded. Before Zach left, he whispered something in Raiden's ear which caused Raiden to scowl at him. I watched Raiden carefully and my hand scrambled onto a nearby tree for support.
Raiden holds his hands up in surrender, "don't worry, I'm not going near you."
I relaxed a bit, but was still on alert, "what do you guys want from me?"
"I don't want anything from you," he explained in a surprisingly soft voice, "I'm sorry for scaring you yesterday, it wasn't my intention to do that."
His voice was soft but his face was scrunched up, like he wasn't use to speaking like that and that he was trying he's hardest. My heart fluttered in my chest as he spoke. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a grey tight top underneath. I quickly stopped checking him out before he noticed my eyes weren't on his face but was too late because I couldn't stop the blush forming on my cheeks.
He smirked at me and my blush deepened.
"How did you find out my name?" I finally managed to blurt. He reached into his pockets and pulled out a keychain. It was my football shaped keychain that had my name on it. I hadn't even realised it was missing.
"It dropped from your bag," he took a hesitant step towards me. When he realised I wasn't moving, he started walking.
"Here," he whispered when he was standing right in front of me.
My body started tingling again as I felt his body heat. He took my hand and then clasped the key chain into my palm but didn't let go. My hand was burning as his large rough hand held onto my tiny one. I glanced up at him, bit my lip nervously and saw that he was also staring at our intertwined hands with interest. He lifted his head when he realised I was looking at him and I blushed when his eyes hardened as they locked on my lips.
He was massive compared to my 5'4, probably more than six foot. His dark brown hair fell slightly on his tan complexion. Up close, you could see his sharpened cheekbones and his perfectly chiseled nose. Raiden leaned his face towards me and I became completely still, trying to control my breathing. He moved forward but then paused and seemed to rethink it. His shifted his mouth close to my ear and whispered in a single breath, "perfect."
I tried to suppress my shiver as his warm breath tingled through my body but failed, I had no idea what he was talking about. Raiden quickly moved away from me, letting go of my hand which ached to find his again. His expression became guarded as he took out his phone. He threw it to me and I scrambled to catch it, somehow managing to not drop it.
"Put your number in there," he commanded. I shook my head and held it back to him. What was his problem?
"Don't be so difficult," I could tell he was starting to become annoyed at me. This caused my own annoyance to spike and I marched towards him with sudden ferocity,
