-*STAR'S POV*-

I was awake by the sound of my alarm clock at my beside table. I lazily turn off the snooze buttton and yawn. Why on earth do I have to set my alarm at 6:00 am in the morning? Ughhhh! This is not the wake up call I wanted to have -__-

Suddenly, I heard a loud banging at my door. "Wakey wakey, daughter! Pack your stuff already, we're moving. NOW!" I just roll my eyes at what my step Dad said at the other side. Tsk! I didn't even know how Mom fell in love with that guy...

"Yeah. Yeah. I know what's my responsibility, so don't need to remind me about it, old hag!" -Me

"Don't you dare call me that, young lady. You're lucky your door is lock or I might not hesitate to lecture you again!!!" He yell with strict and angerness heard in his voice. Like hell I care? Tss...

I didn't bother to answer back. l heard him sigh at the other side and his footsteps going away from my door. That means, he left already. What a old hag he is! So bothersome...

My life became a total mess when my step Dad entered the picture. I was only 12 when Dad died because of brain cancer, and its already in stage 3 that time. Me and Mom can't even do anything, but just burst into tears of sadness.

Flashback

4 years ago...

"Mom. Will Dad be okay?" I asked with concern heard in my voice. We're currently here at the streets going to the Hospital where my Dad is charge in. We bought a basket full of fruits in it, so that Dad could eat some healthy foods though.

I didn't know why Dad didn't told us about his sickness. We could have helped him before! But... Its too late already:'(

Mom gave me a sad smile then crouch down my level. She wipe away my tears with her thumb. "Daddy will be okay, Star. Don't worry, okay? After some health treatments, he'll be healed and healthy again. Don't cry..."

I can't help to embrace Mom with a hug as tears still streaming down my cheeks. She hugs me back. We both didn't say a word, but just embrace each other with a hug.

A couple of minutes later, Mom break the hug and both of us decided to walk towards the Hospital.

As we both entered the Hospital, Nurses were panicing and were in a hurry to get something making me confuse on the situation that's happening right now.

"Mom. What's going on?"

"I don't know, sweetie. C'mon, lets go to the counter to ask for Daddy's room number...". I just respond a nod and both of us went to the counter to ask for Dad's room number.

"Excuse me, miss. I'm the wife of River Johansen-Butterfly, who's a patient in this Hospital. What room is he staying in?"

"River Johansen-Butterfly? Hmm.... Uhm... Ma'am, there's an emergency occurring there right now. I'm afraid you can't visit him in his room" My eyes widen at what the receptionist said.
