"Now your about to go up in flames but don't worry these suits are built so you don't feel a thing," Cinna explains. "And it's not real it's synthetic flames. All the sponsors will love you. So you'll most likely survive." His words calm me in a frightening way.
"Okay but will I burn if I possibly touch it on accident?"
"No, like I said its fake." I nod. "Let's get you into the chariot." We make our way outside to where the chariots are parked. The black horses and wood will really make the flames stand out unless the flashiness of the Capitol citizens' outfits already beat us to it.
"Cinna?" I ask. "Before Gale and I came here he used to always put me up on his shoulders, would it be okay..?"
"Say no more," he says. "you'll be fine, Prim." He smiles. I smile back.
"Thanks." Gale and I step onto the chariot and he lifts me on top of his bulky shoulders.
"Ya know they just want a show for now, right?" he says.
"Yeah." I say.
"You remember the handstand Katniss showed you. The one you held on to two bricks?"
"I can't do that from eight feet away from the ground," I say. "The bricks were just four inches away. Handstanding on you would be twenty times that."
"Just close your eyes. You'll be fine I won't drop you."
"Okay." I say and I trust him.
The chariot moves out and I begin to climb him. Step on his shoulders grab his hands lift my left foot up to meet my upside down body and then my right. I rest the top of my head on to his. now we look like a stick on fire. I can hear the roaring crowd that wasn't so loud until I feel we are the last ones out.
My hands are sweaty and the they slip at the same time but magically I do a front flip into Gale's hands. He catches me by the waist and set me down next to him. The crowd practically deafens me. We burn out when we get to President Snow and he makes his speech.
