I have been on a date before, not just once but multiple times already. But have you ever felt that feeling when everything seems like the first time and you feel so nervous you just want to back out? That's how I exactly feel right now.

Lumalabas naman kami ni X to dine, stroll and do crazy stuff but that was when such feelings exist. Ngayon, inaya niya ako na mag-dinner at alam kong hindi ito typical dinner dinner--it was more than that.

Maaga pa at mamaya pa ang date namin ni Xavier. I'm sitting on my bed and surfing the net. I feel like I'm already outdated kahit hindi naman. I was scrolling through the News Feed when a message popped.

Clarence Perez:

Hey.

My breathing hitched for a moment and my eyes were glued on the screen. Bakit niya ako chinat? What is he up to now?

Karenpey Panghulan:

What do you need?

Clarence Perez is typing... kept on appearing on the chatbox. Pero lumipas na ang dalawang oras at wala pa rin akong reply na nakuha galing sa kanya. Maybe he realized it was a wrong move sending me a message. Well news flash, Perez! I'm regretting that I sent you a reply. Hanggang kailan mo ba ako paaasahin?

I listened to Xavier's recordings on Soundcloud pampalipas oras. Bakit ang ganda ng boses niya? Akala ko nakakasabog lang ng ovaries at fallopian tube ang boses niya. Hindi ko naman alam na balak niya ring i-infect ang uterus at cervix ko. Hihihi.

I was being serenaded by his cover of Marry Me by Train nang na-interupt 'to ng Facebook pop sound.

Clarence Perez:

Nothing. Just wanted to check on you. Been a while, friend.

Karenpey Panghulan:

How nice of you, friend. I'm perfectly fine.

Clarence Perez:

Pero mas magiging fine ka kung...

Karenpey Perez:

Kung?

Clarence Perez:

Kakain ka ng saging na may condesada tapos iinuman mo ng Anlene!

Wala na ba siyang ibang alam i-offer kundi 'yang saging na may condensada niya? Bakit yung puso niya hindi niya magawang i-offer?

I didn't reply back and logged out instead. Kainis! Why does he still have an effect on me? And why do I feel like I'm cheating on Xavier and vice versa?

Nyeta, Karen! Ang ganda mo kasi eh. Itanong mo sa bangs mo, baka sakaling masagot!

Tumayo na ako mula sa kama ko and rummaged through my closet. What do I wear for tonight? Ugh. Bahala na. Maganda naman ako kahit anong isuot ko.

X picked me up around 8pm. He was wearing a V-neck and a coat, paired with a dark blue pants.

"Saan tayo?" I asked while watching the cars on the road.

"Prencess' Dining," he answered, eyes focused on the road. "May igaganda ka pa pala."

I blushed at his comment. "Sira."

We reached the place after an hour. The receptionist greeted us.

"Have you made your reservations, sir?" X nodded.  "Your name, please?"
