I waited for about two minutes, then my phone buzzed. It was a text from him.

'Thank God, I was really starting to lose hope that I would hear from you, and that would have been really heartbreaking. I'm free tomorrow. How about meeting in the same coffee shop? Then we could go to any other place together.'

I smiled, and replied with, 'Perfect, meet you there.'

Did I just put gasoline on myself and was waiting for him to come and lit me on fire? Or was it the right choice?

I guess I would know the answer to that question, very soon.

I didn't have much sleep last night. I mean, how could I sleep when I'm having a date with the man who could actually put me in jail soon enough! I had two hours before meeting with Piers  and I had no idea what to do. So, I decided to go and speak with Eric, I really needed some advice and he was the best I can get at the moment. I went to his room and found him sleeping so I decided to wake him up by splashing some water on him.

He woke up with wide eyes. "What the hell, Sherry?!" He yelled at me, and I giggled at his reaction.

"Come on, rise and shine. I need to talk to you." I said with a little smirk.

"What is so important that would make you dare and wake me up?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Well, I have a date today," I said, innocently.

He seemed confused but then he remembered something and his eyes widened. "Don't say it," He said while shaking his head.

I didn't answer him, he sighed, and put his head in his hands. "So, are you out of your mind? Or are you willing to spend the next years of your life in an orange jumpsuit?"

"I don't have a lot of choices, Eric. I'm not running because by that, I would be giving up everything I ever wanted," I said, waving my hands in frustration, "And, I will be careful. He won't know what had hit him at the end."

He narrowed his eyes at me again, "Okay, but when you would be sitting in a prison cell alone and thinking about all of your life choices, remember that I warned you."

I rolled my eyes at him but in fact, he was right.

"So, mom called me," I said when I remembered yesterday's call, and I was also desperate to change the subject.

"I know," Eric said.

"Why didn't you tell me that they were thinking about quitting too?" I asked, confusedly.

"I guess mom wanted to tell you," He said. Then he rolled his eyes at me, "Oh, and I'm not convinced about this whole thing. It would be a really boring life."

I gave him a little smile, "I guess life is missing with me, I can't do it now. I still have to deal with that FBI agent."

"God, of all the coffee shops in New York he had to come to the one you were at, and sit with you of all people." He said, laughing a little bit at the irony.

I laughed bitterly. It was really mind blowing, it was like one of those fiction stories that can only be found in books or movies but here I was.

"Yeah, what an irony," I said. "I guess I have to go and get ready for my lovely date."

I was about to leave the room but Eric called after me and made me stop. "Please be careful, sis."

I nodded and gave him a slight smile before walking out of the room.
