PETER'S POV

In a split of a second, my entire world fell apart. I watched my dad fall to his knees, and sob into his hands. I watched Pops clench his fist, resisting every urge he had to punch the guy right in the face.

I screamed at the top of my lungs when they tried to take me away. "NO, YOU CAN'T DO THIS! I LOVE THEM! PLEASE!" I had never felt so hopeless.

I fought as hard as I could, but it was useless. And before I knew it I was in a car driving away from Stark Tower, the only home I had ever known.

...

We arrived at a small building with a large sign that read "ORPHANAGE," near the end of the city. The men got out of the car and escorted me inside.

"This is Mr. Parker. He'll be staying here for a while." A lady dressed in all white brought me down to the end of the hallway.

"This will be your room for the time being while we get all your paper work situated," she said pointing to the door. I opened the door and walked inside.

To my surprise, there was another boy, around my age, in there. "Oh, hey," he said. "They told me Id be getting a new roommate soon. Wait a minute! You're Peter! You're Spiderman! Omg this is the coolest thing ever! Spiderman is my roommate!"

I was thrown off by his British accent. I reached my hand out to shake his. "Nice to meet you. What's your name?"

"I'm Tom." (fourth wall break?)
So what are you doing here? Your dads are Iron Man and Captain America? Why would you be in an orphanage?"

"The Child Protective Services didn't think they were suitable parents," I said, trying to hold back my tears.

"What? They're like the coolest people in the world! That doesn't make any sense!"

"You're telling me."
