i check the clock that read, 7:20. i finished curling my last piece of hair that sat on my head.
according to ian it was a fancy dinner, and it was set up by james. only james would do that for a first date.
i was thinking like dinner at a fast food place and a walk on the beach, like a simple date. but nope, james has to be extra.
i shake out my head of curls, hoping that they will at least look as decent as i hope they did.
my dress for tonight was a nude, bodycon dress, with a plunging neck line. i'm so glad that i packed an really fancy dress knowing that we would eat fancy one night.
i search through my bag for my gold pumps since they would match my gold earrings. i check the clock once more, 7:29.
i took the last minute that i had to spray on some perfume. if i couldn't look good i had to at least smell good.
a knock on the door makes me look away from the mirror in the bathroom. i take a deep breath in before opening the door.
"hi... you look h-hot," ian's eyes go wide after said it, "i m-mean great! you look great." i laugh at his nervous speaking.
"thank you, you ready to go?" i ask, touching the door handle lightly.
"yeah, let's go." he smiles, then hold his arm out for me to latch onto.
-
"reservation for ian." ian speaks to the waiter as we pass by a long line of people waiting for a table.
"alright just this way." he leads us to a back porch area over the water, "another waiter should come around to get you guys drinks."
(by the way, if you wanted to know the legal drinking age in the bahamas is 18 [ i know ian isn't 18] it's just a useless fact)
ian pulls out for my chair for me, "thank you my kind sir." i quickly kiss his cheek, and take my seat.
ian sits across from me, the sunset hitting his left side and the candle light hitting the rest of his face.
"so, did james set you up to this?" i lean on the table, watching my elbows. (BECAUSE MANNERS)
"maybe, but that's not the point princess." he touches my hand as he looks down at he menu.
"what's the point then?" i ask, putting my hand over his to get his attention.
he looks up at me, "the point is you and me." he smirks before looking back at the menu.
i shake my head before deciding what to eat. there was steaks, salads, sandwiches, even fish.
i settle on a chicken salad, closing the menu and looking at ian.
he was so focused on the menu, it was attractive to say the least.
"good evening, my name is steven and i'll be serving you tonight," my attention is now moved to the waiter, "what would you guys like to drink?" he whips out his black leather notepad.
"i'll have a lemon and sparkling water please." i say, watching him scribble down the abbreviated version of my order.
"and i'll have just a water." ian looks at me directly instead of the waiter. (when i was envisioning this i thought of ian as christian grey)
"alright, i'll be back with those and take your meal order." steven walks off, making me turn to look at ian.
"take a picture it will last longer.." i say sticking my tongue out at him.
"alright." ian reaches into his dress pants pocket for his phone. he lifts it up, snapping a picture of me.
"i didn't mean literally ian.." i laugh, trying to reach for his phone to delete it.
"well i did." he slips his phone into his pocket again, and puts his hand in my outstretched one.
now that was smooth, "ian dont be a fuck boy." i laugh at my own joke.
"i'm not princess." he rubs his thumb over my hand gently.
i just want to hear him call me princess a thousand times, hearing it gives me the chills.

we eat our food, having little conversations in between about the random stuff.
once finished we both agree to split the bill instead of arguing over who would pay.
"so any dessert for you two tonight?" steven asks, gesturing to our now empty plates.
"uh no, i think we will just have the bill." ian says while steven takes our empty plates.
"actually, your bill has been payed for." he smiles, holding the plates in his right arm.
i drop my jaw, "by who?" i ask. this restaurant is expensive why would anyone want to pay our bill.
"that old couple right over there." he points to another couple, who is much older, sitting at a table diagonally with us.
steven walks way, leaving ian and i shocked. "they really did that huh?" he says drinking the last part of his water.
i nod my head, chewing on my lip. that was gracious of them.
--
ian and i walk over to the old couple now sharing some crème brûlée. "thank you so much for paying for our meal, you really didn't have to." i lean against ian slightly as we are talking.
"you're welcome, we saw the spark between you two as there was between us." the old man dabs his mouth with his napkin.
"thank you again, it was really nice of you." ian and i start to walk off again, i wave and get a wave in return.
what a night?
hey so like i just realized that him calling her princess doesn't really work because they have only known each other for a month. also the couch scene doesn't make sense so i might make the whole launch party like a week later so it does make a little sense yanno ?
anyways late chapter but it's long so :)
BE PROUD
alright ciao.
