Jays POV
I wake up to see Erin still asleep. I carefully get out of bed and walk to Kaylas room. I stand watching her then she starts thrashing around while crying. I run in and hug her while waking her up. When she is awake she just clings to me crying. I sit hugging her then Erin walks in. She comes straight over and starts hugging us. Eventually Kayla stops crying so we all go and get breakfast. Me and Erin have bacon sandwiches while Kayla has cereal. When we are done we all go and get dressed before going down to the cars. Kayla gets in the back with Erin while I drive. When I park at the station we all go upstairs and Kayla yells "I'm going to be leaving soon. My real father has been found." Everyone looks at us and says "how are you letting this happen." Me and Erin chuckle and say "stop tormenting the guys." They look at me so I say "we found her father but she is staying." They cheer and Antonio whispers something to Kayla. Kayla then walks over and whispers to me "Antonio said you have a nice dick." Before running. I look at Antonio before pointing to the break room. He walks in before me so I close the door. I smirk and say "why did you say to Kayla I have a nice dick." He laughs and says "that's not what I said. I was trying to get her to tell me who her father is but she won't talk." I smile and say "I know who her father is." He starts swearing and says "why did she tell you and not me." I chuckle and say "why would she tell me that she's my daughter." I then walk out and Antonio follows and says "you can say that before walking off." I smirk and say "yes I can." Antonio smirks and yells "Jays a father." Everyone goes quiet and Voight comes out of his office. He looks at me and mouths 'Kayla' I nod so he goes back in. Everyone turns so I walk out with Erin. We find Kayla annoying Platt. She sees us and runs over giving us a hug. We then go back up and everyone is still looking. I look at them and say "I'm a father get over it." They nod and begin working on a case. I walk into the break room to see Kayla say doing school work. She looks up and says " dad can you help with my Media homework please." I walk over and she says "I need to make a small film on my family." I smile and grab a camera before going into Voights office and saying "I need to go and help Kayla with homework." He nods and says "do good for the kid. And make sure she gets good grades or I will beat your ass." I nod and walk to the break room to see Kayla waiting. We go out and record different bits of the family before going back to the station. When we go in I see Erin waiting for us. We all go home and watch a film before going to bed.
The Next Morning
Kaylas POV
I walk into the front room to see Dad sat on the sofa so I go behind him and climb over. He laughs and helps me over before he helps me with more homework. We gets breakfast and get changed when mum walks through. Dad and I look at each other then he says "back to bed your not going work." Mum puts her hands up and says "I'm not arguing with you." When mum is back in bed I grab my school bag and get in the car. Dad then gets in and drives to the school. I say "who's picking me up." He smiles and says "someone you haven't met." I raise my eyebrow and say "how will I know who it is." Dad just smiles so I get out an walk to my first lesson. Music. When I get to the classroom the teacher isn't there so I go inside and play this is me on keyboard.(in media if you want to learn it) When I finish the teacher walks in with the other students and the lesson begins. Then I have Maths. Then Science.Then History and finally I have Spanish. All the lessons go by quickly and when the final bell of the day goes off I walk along the corridor worried about who was picking me up. I walk out the door to see a fire truck with a sign saying 'young Halstead your ride has arrived' I smile and shake my head before walking over and ripping the sign of. Someone gets out and says "kid go away." I smirk and say "young Halstead is stood in front of you." The fireman crosses his arm and says "prove it." I smirk and say "my father is Jay Halstead and my mother is Erin Lindsay. They work at intelligence unit under Hank Voight. One of their colleagues is Antonio Dawson and he has a sister who works at firehouse 51 where your truck is from." The fireman says "yep definitely young Halstead. I'm Matt Casey by the way." I smirk and say "the same Matt Casey who responded to a acid spill 2 months ago and helped 2 trapped teenage girls and one of their parents." He looks at me and says "how do you know this." I smile and say "I was one of the girls." I then climb into the truck and sit waiting. Casey then gets in and the driver drives to the police station. I thank them before walking in where I see Platt. I walk up to the desk and say "can you please buzz me up." She smiles and nods so I run to the gate and go through charging upstairs. I go straight to the break room and begin with my Spanish. After a few minutes I walk out an say "¿alguien aquí puede hablar español?" Antonio turns around and says "puedo lo que significa que no puedes ser grosero conmigo." I yell " mierda." Antonio laughs and say "mind your language." I laugh and go back into the break room. After a while I get bored so I go out to see them working on a case. I look at the board and say "maybe the boyfriend had a jealous ex who wants him to herself so she killed the girlfriend and kidnapped her ex." Antonio nods and goes to a computer and begins typing but gets frustrated. I walk over and say "¿puedo hacerlo? Tengo una calificación de TI y piratería." He moves out The way so I sit down and start hacking into social media accounts and I find a woman who has been telling the person who has been abducted to dump his girlfriend of they will both be at risk. Antonio sends me back to the break room while he sorts teams to check a property. Before they leave Dad comes in and says "I'm going to drop you off at the firehouse and pick you up after." I nod and put my stuff away before walking out. When I get to the firehouse I catch my leg on a metal pole sticking out the wall. I scream "Gabby Dawson consigue tu culo aquí ahora o lo lamentarás." I see her run out along with everyone else. She sees the blood posting out my leg so she grabs her med bag and comes over. She cleans it before saying "Necesito llevarte a Med. el corte necesita puntadas, pero puedo hacer que tu tío lo haga." I nod so she gets Matt to carry me over to the ambulance. They shut the doors and put the sirens on before driving to med. When we get there I get taken in and the ginger doctor comes over. I get taken to a room where he cuts my trouser leg to clean the cut properly. He then starts to stitch the cut up and it is so painful I yell "joder, ¿por qué es tan doloroso." They both look at me so I smile trying to look innocent. Went the stitches are done my leg gets wrapped and dad run into the room. Doctor ginger looks at him and says "why are you here." Dad smiles and says "what happened to her." Gabby says "tripped over a pole and cut her leg. She has one hell of a mouth though." Dad nods and ginger says "you still didn't answer my question." Dad smile and says "Kayla is my daughter." Ginger smiles and says "yay I'm an uncle." He then walks out. Dad looks at me and says "just because you are learning Spanish it doesn't mean you have to use it just to swear. "I smile and he sits next to hugging me. Eventually I drift off to sleep.
