Kaylas POV
I wake up and walk out of my room to the living room. I look on the sofa to see dad asleep so I set my phone up for the camera and go to the kitchen getting squirty cream. I go back into the front room and press record before putting the squirty cream on dads hand. I then tickle his nose and run away grabbing my phone. I lie in my bed pretending to be asleep when I hear footsteps. I stay silent then I hear dad mutter something before walking away. I get up and get into a vest top and shorts. I walk out and grab a bottle of water before walking out. I run until I get to the same street the precinct is on. As I slow down I see someone approaching me so I speed up and run inside the precinct. I go and hide behind the desk where Trudy can see me then the woman comes in and says "have you seen a 14 year old girl come in here." Trudy says "how are you related to the child." The woman says "I'm her mother. I'm going to sit there until I get her or speak to her father." Trudy nods and the woman walks away. I grab my phone and message dad.

K-dad can you come to the precinct please
J-why what's wrong
K-there is a woman claiming to be my mother
J-ok I'm leaving with Erin now
K-I'm hiding under the front desk
J-ok
I then put my phone away and wait until I see dad bend behind the desk. I hug him and say "the woman sat down smart clothes started following me so I ran and hid here." He nods and kisses the top of my head before getting up. I hear them talking for a bit then it goes quiet. Dad walks back round and gets his phone out before texting someone. I look at him then he says "my brother is going to come and make sure what she is saying is the truth." I nod then I hear someone say "Jay where is the woman." Dad points and the person walks over. After about 10 minuets someone walks round the desk so I look and it's doctor ginger. He takes some of my blood before doing some stuff behind the case. Then he gives dad a piece of paper before leaving. The woman comes up to the desk and says " can I have my daughter now. I will get a lawyer in here." Dad says " the kid isn't yours." The woman quickly says "she's adopted." Dad then says "she is staying here." The woman says "you can't keep her here I have guardianship over her." Dad says "and I'm her biological father so she is staying with me," before picking me up and taking me out to the car. I get put in the back and immediately feel someone hug me. I turn slightly and see it is Erin hugging me. I hug her back then dad drives home. When we get there I get out and go to my room before going to sleep.
