New Romance

Robert signed the divorce paper on one condition. I allow him to take Preston for a couple of hours during the weekdays. Also, keep him for the weekends. Of course, I was okay with it. He's the father of my child. It's going to take some adjusting having to stomach his presence. I'm willing to give this a try. As much as I hated divorcing him. Deep down I want to fully get rid of this insane love that I have for  Robert. Live my life the way it was intended. For christ sakes, I'm nineteen.

My friend Trisha invited me to go out of Saturday. I agreed to it willingly. Go drink and have fun. I sat there on the stool drinking some shots. Trisha left me alone to dance with some guy. The bartender hands me two shots out of the blue. "Uh, sir I didn't ask for these." I said pushing them towards him. "Compliments of the gentleman right there. Blue shirt." he replied pointing. I leaned over to look at the younger guy smiling and waving. I waved back and leaned back. He surely was cute. Brown curly hair, tanned skin, and brown eyes.

I then turn to see him sit on the stool next to me. He grabbed the shot glass handing it to me. I take while he held the other. "Cheers." his velvet voice ran in my ears. We clinked our glasses and down the shots together. "How is a beautiful woman like you sitting here alone?" I chuckled at him and smiled shyly. "Why do you care if I'm alone?" I asked. "There's a lot of perverts here." "How do I know you're not one?" He gave me a smirk and rubbed his slightly stubble chin. "Boy, you can read me like a book. I better leave before you cry rape." He joked and went to walk away. I laughed at him pulled him back.

"Get back here. You're the only guy who hasn't groped me all night." I said. "I'm a classy guy. I don't grope without parental consent or court approval." I busted out laughing. "I'm Gropy by the way." I continued laughing as he held his hand out. I shook my head at him. "I'm kidding my name is Julius Savor." I shook his hand smiling. "Secillia Turner." "Pleasure to meet you. Ever since you walked through that door. I have sat at this stoop observing you. Not in a creepy stalker way. Just paying attention on who you are as a person." "And what was your conclusion?" "I found you to be very attractive. Duh! As you stood there it looked as if you did not want to be here. Then I noticed you began to loosen up. Once you sat down to rest. You had single handedly turned down five guys." "What's your point?" "My point is I had sat here admiring a heartbroken woman."

I tensed up to his words. I place a strand of my hair behind me ear and gulped. "Did I offend you? If I did I don't mean any harm." asked Julius placing his hand on mine. "No,no. Not at all. I'm just shocked that you nailed what my problem was." I replied shaking my head. "If it makes you feel any better, I was afraid to approach you." "Why?" "Fear of rejection. Let's face it no girl wants talk with some shy, nerdy, and ugly man. They want a good looking buff guy with more muscle than he has brains." "You are not ugly. Our entire conversation has consisted of laughter. You made me feel comfortable. You're sincere and I like it." "Do you really think that?" "I do. You are handsome, sweet, and charming."

I can see him blushing as I intertwine my fingers with his. He raised my hand up placing a soft kiss on it. "I had a feeling I was going to like you." We just stared at eachother holding hands. My heart was pounding in my chest. I liked Julius. I felt goosebumps growing on my arm. "How's about we get out of here? Go eat at this diner across the street." he continued. "I would love to." I replied smiling. I sent Trisha a text letting her now I was leaving. She'll get it later. We left the noisy club and jogged over to the diner.

Once we were inside Julius decided to order it to go. He had a suprise for me. I agreed to it and after a few minutes they had our order done. Julius pushed the button on his keys and the car in front of us churped. A red Porshe. Nice. He opened the door for me and I got in. I grabbed the food placing it on my lap. He gets in and off we went. We came up to a park near the ocean and he parked on the hill. The sky was purple and the stars glistened above the ocean. Julius opens my door taking the bag of food. "I like to come out here to watch the sunrise." he announced setting the bag on the hood of the car. I yelped when he picked me up and sat me on the hood. "Make yourself comfortable while I get a blanket out my trunk." I smiled at him and continued to look up at the stars.

Julius soon hops on and laid the cover over our legs. It was pretty chilly out here. We began eating and talked. He talked about his life and what he did for a living. He's 26.  Works as a computer technician for Microsoft Windows. No kids. As far as relationships go he's only dated once. I don't see how a guy like him was single. I enjoyed his company and boy is he intellegent. I felt dumb around him. The good thing about him is that he wasn't cocky. Most smart men are assholes. He changed the subject and I began talking about myself. I scared him for a moment when I told him about my dad. Julius wasn't bothered at all when I told him about Preston. He has nieces himself and showed me pictures of them. They were adorable.

After we finished eating we laid back talking some more. The sun was slowly peeking in the horizon. Julius held me tight against him. My head was resting on his shoulder. It felt peaceful as all I could hear was the waves and birds churping. I closed my eyes for a moment. I can feel the suns warmth hit my skin. "Beautiful isn't it?" asked Julius softly. His calm deep voices gave me chills. I let out a sigh and hugged his torso. "Very beautiful." I smiled up at him as he placed a kiss on my forehead. "You are beautiful."
