This will take place when Chloe and Barry are in High School. Rather than getting struck as an adult, Barry gets struck as a teen. Chloe doesn't have powers in this one.

How do I even begin to describe Barry Allen? A hottie? A rich kid? Nope. Barry Allen was the nerdiest boy in the whole school. He'd never be seen without a book to his face and his glasses down to his nose. He always wore sweater vests and khakis. In class, he'd get 100s on every test and answer every questions the teacher asked correct. In music class, he'd give everyone a 20 minute lecture on the creation of each instrument, and in PE, he'd be the first person pelted with dodgeballs.
Then there was me. I wouldn't consider myself popular, but I also wasn't uncool. I was the center of the 'squad' among my friend group, and was the one everyone wanted to be around. My friends weren't that high on the social status either. We weren't best friends with the jocks or the preps, but we were open to anyone.
But when you're trying to keep your reputation high and positive, you can't create any drama or draw negative attention to yourself. That's why I keep my crushes under wraps. Especially when it was with the nerdiest boy in the whole school...
My first time working with Barry Allen was freshman year chemistry. We had both been placed in the AP level class, and were assigned lab partners for the whole year. I won't say it was a bad time, because it wasn't. He knew just how to make me smile, and he had been inexperienced, which I preferred than the other boys. He was the only normal high school boy that didn't care all about girls. Instead, he focused on his future and school, which was what I admired. He knew exactly what he wanted to do and mapped out every step to get there. But after freshman year, Barry closed himself off. The bullies became ruthless and wouldn't leave him alone. He transferred schools for a while, but came back. I was happy to see that he returned.
My heart broke when I heard Barry Allen had gotten into a very tragic accident. They made an announcement over the intercom that he had been struck by lightning and was recuperating, and I nearly fell out of my chair. Kids laughed and joked, but I knew it was serious. "Of course this had to happen to a kid like him," I thought to myself. "It's always the good ones". After I heard the news, I found it hard to focus on anything else. I couldn't pay attention to anything else, and all I did was worry.
When I went to go visit him, the hospital told me he had moved to a more exclusive location. That's when I couldn't handle it. I thought more and more about him as the days passed, hoping that he would be okay. I wondered what it would be like if things were different.
It was a regular school morning like any other. I had just arrived, and was placing my textbooks into the bottom of my locker before first block. I shook off my jacket and placed it into the top shelf of my locker. I then hung up my backpack and turned around to pick up my purse.
I then closed my locker and turned to walk away to me and my friends' meeting spot when girls started to gasp behind me. The gasping seemed to follow me, which caused me to turn around.
When I saw him, my eyes went wide and my jaw dropped. The sunlight poured in from the door as he entered, as if be was an angel. He looked...different...Totally different from the last time I saw him...He had ditched his sweater vests, and settled on chrome converse, black jeans ripped at the knees, and a grey and black striped shirt. His glasses were now gone, and his hair was spiked up. Not to mention, he was physically taller and had gained more muscle.
I blinked multiple times, attempting to wake myself from the daze I was in. I couldn't believe it was him. With a tragic accident like that, you'd think he'd be dead.
Girls followed him like lost puppies as he walked up the hallway and settled against the lockers next to where I was standing.
"B-Barry," I stuttered, blindsided by the radiant smile that followed after I said his name. He ran a hand through his hair and my knees went weak. I certainly wasn't expecting this. "I'm glad you're," I said, gripping his arms. My cheeks became tomato red as I pulled back at the realisation of what I had just done. He remained silent, the smile still on his face. "I'm sorry...You probably don't remember me...I'm--" Barry placed a hand in the air, and I stopped.
"Chloe...How could I forget a smile like that?".
