"Luther!"

Kara called out, her throat becoming parched from the amount of times she repeated his name.

She found herself wandering the streets of Canada, having Alice back in the motel locked up in the room to prevent anyone from getting in while she slept. She checked the pool if Luther was in there, but he wasn't, along with his damp shirt that once lay beside. She remembered seeing a trail of liquid footprints bleeding into the thin sheet of snow and leading away from the Motel, but disappearing as she went further on.

"Luther!" She called out one more time before freezing in her tracks, the cold chill finally beginning to get to her and penetrating the damp clothes she had to put back on. She bit her lip, swaying side to side in the rhythmic patterns the wind was laced with, hoping to distract her mind for a moment to think.

Of course she agreed her action of leaving Alice alone was stupid, and of course she knew she shouldn't have run off after Luther kissed her, but she seemed to be left with no choice. Her vision became blurry as the specks of snow blinded her, settling on her eyelashes and forcing her to blink them away with the tears that seemed to well behind her eyes. She swallowed thickly, trying to cover up her sobs as she continued to trail on, glancing in alleyways and in the crisp glass doors of closed shops and buildings; all of them dark and unlit.

"Kara?"

A voice was heard from behind, and she whipped around, her breath becoming hitched at who stood in front of her. His mattered hair was covered in snow, while his eyes gleamed with light that reminded her of a carnival.

"Jerry? Jerry, is that you?" Kara said, as she clasped a hand over her mouth in surprise.

"Of course it is. I passed the boarder the same way you did."

Kara wasted no time in running up to him, flinging herself into his arms. She buried herself into the crook of his neck, finally releasing her cries, "Jerry, I can't find Luther..." She muttered, "I....I was with him before and he just disappeared after we talked. Alice is-"

"Where is Alice?" Jerry interrupted, placing his hands on her shoulders to push her away to get a clear view of her. "She's back at the Motel. I had to leave her alone, I couldn't just not look for Luther. What if people find him and realize he's an Android? I don't know what kind of people are here....some can destroy him."

"Kara, we need to worry about the little girl first. We can't leave her alone, you know she needs you." He said.

"I know...but Luther-"

"Kara, this isn't like you. You always put the little girl first, did something happen?"

Kara froze, taking a moment before shaking her head, "No, nothing happened. It's just that I need him. Alice needs him."

Jerry nodded, "Fine. How about I go back to the motel and stay with the little girl while you search for Luther. I have to be there if she wakes up."

Kara smiled weakly as she grabbed the key out of her pocket, handing it to Jerry, "Please tell her where I am. And if I don't come back, please take care of her."

Jerry shot a weak smile as he held onto the key, finding the address from the connection of skin between them, "Stay safe." He said, before turning on his heel and running off.

Kara felt a little calmer now at the thought that Alice would be cared for if she didn't make it back in time for her to wake up. She took a breath as she went on, glancing around at the small town which was now called home. She huddled herself together as the houses began to mold into overgrowth, now finding her surroundings become darker and more submerged in twilight.

She didn't realize that she was in a forest until the occurring streetlights diminished, the only light coming from the moon that lay huddled on top of the mountains overlooking the town.  She took a breath, seeing the faint wisp of condensation that fluttered out as she exhaled; she felt calmer now, more relaxed and focused.

She trudged on, but froze when a rustle came from beside her.  She turned slightly and peered into the forest that now lay ahead of her, waves of trees and and twilight swirling together and making, which was supposed to be, a beautiful view, but not for her.  All she saw was the figure lurking between it all, the black silhouette sending a cold finger down her spine.

"Luther?"

She breathed as she slowly approached it, "Luther, it's me.  It's Kara, see." She held up her hand and removed the skin, revealing her white textured palm with its shiny coating, "Give me your hand Luther."

The figure did nothing, standing perfectly still as if it were ice.  Kara assumed she was being giving the silent treatment, nibbling on her inner cheek as she opened her mouth to try to talk with him.

"Look!  David!  It's another one of those fuckin' Androids on the TV."  A voice came from behind, causing her to retreat her hand back to its normal skin color.  She turned around, gasping when she saw the two figures standing behind her.

One was a female, with long, black gleaming hair freckled with snow, and pale skin that seemed to reflect in the moonlight.  Kara scanned her quickly, reviving her name, which happened to be Anna Livingston, and she had just turned 34 days before.

The one beside her was male, sharing the same features as her but his hair was shortly cut and shaven.  Kara scanned him as well and got his name to be David Livingston, him sharing the same birthday and age as the woman next to him.

"Um....excuse me?" Kara said as she stepped back, realizing that both of them held guns and weapons.

"Look at this pretty mother fucker, all out and about acting like it's a real thing."  Anna said, as she began to circle around Kara, gripping tighter onto a pole that she held in her grasp.

"What should we do Anna?  Fuck it up like we did with the others we found in New York?"  David said.

Kara huddled herself tighter together as she pressed her back against a tree, now only realizing the figure she saw before was simply a demented bolder.  "Please....I'm just looking for my friend.  I don't mean any harm..."

Anna laughed, "You have extra room in your trunk, right David?"  She said, earning a nod from him, "Yeah, get it.  We might need some of her parts for the car."

Kara saw Anna approach her slowly with the pole slowly rising in the air.  She held back a scream when the metal came crashing down onto her head, crushing her outer skin and turning it white.

Kara hit the ground hard, seeing a flashing signal block her vision before everything seemed to shut down, a clear coat of black washing over her and stopping her heart.
