"I was thinking about drowning."

Kara bit her lip, wondering why Luther was thinking of something so absurd. "Why were you thinking about that?" She finally asked, surprising herself at the courage she mustered up to speak.

"Just think about it Kara," Luther said, as his hand replicated the emotion in his words, "We are robots. We're designed to take care of humans and do the things they didn't want to do."

"Where are you going with this? We are free now, we don't have to worry about what we were made for." Kara said, as she reached out and grabbed Luther's fidgeting hand, it seeming to calm at the gentle strokes she applied with her thumb glazing over his knuckles.

"I'm...." His words had a harsh jolt and stutter, him seeming to enjoy the delicate brush strokes on his hand, "Because now that we're free Kara, we're just like humans. We can die, we can work, we can live, we can raise Alice, we can—"

"So what does this have to do with drowning?" Kara interrupted, earning white noise to wash over them both, only the soft waves of the pool echoing around them. But everything stopped as soon as Luther stood, making his way over to the banks of the pool. Kara could see his hands gripping onto the hem of his shit, now beginning to naw on her inner cheek as the fabric came off of him.

Her breath hitched when her gaze devoured the sight of him, up and down and taking in the perfectly formed body that was molded out of plastic. "What are you doing?"

Her words were left unanswered as Luther dove into the pool, the splash piercing the quite and perhaps even puncturing the twilight.

She stood, scurrying over to the edge of the pool and looking down, only to see clear water with no body. "Luther?" She called, the bridge of her nose wrinkling with worry. "Luther? Are you okay? This....This isn't funny."

In the fraction of a second, a pair of hands dug into her ankles, pulling her into the pool as her body was on the verge of slamming into the cement. She couldn't help but to screw her eyes shut and release a yelp as the water embraced her, sending a wave of cold to intoxicate her limbs.

She felt a hand reach over and cup the side of her face, the soft padding of a thumb caressing over her cheek bone which led her to open her eyes; she was met with that perfect pool of hazel, drowned in the swarm of a chocolate mix of skin. And of course, everything was tied together with that smile of his.

Kara couldn't help but to giggle under the water as his hand grabbed hers, dragging her around the pool.

They could have stayed under there for hours, for breathing was never a necessary for them, and staying under the coating of water was what they did. Seconds turned into minutes, while minutes turned into an hour, and not once were they met with the cold chill of air.

Kara finally new it time to put a stop to it all, placing her hands to Luther's chest in hopes of trying to convey the message that their fun must end. She pointed a finger up, wanting to say it was time but Luther's hand clasped over it, pushing it back into her palm. She raised a brow at the action, being confused on why he was acting like this, until.....

A pair of lips were on hers.
