"Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf..."

"Sing it again Jerry!  Please!"

"Alice, I don't want to make Kara upset when she finds you awake at this hour.  I must send you to bed." Jerry said, as he motioned for Alice to crawl back under the covers.  "Perhaps I will sing some more when the lights are turned off.  How does that sound?"

Alice squealed with joy as she buried herself back under the blanket, swaddling herself in the fabric until she resembled the splitting image of an newborn in a hospital.  "Please sing it again,"—she yawned—"it sounds so nice."

Jerry chuckled before re-singing the last verse, flicking the lights off while sitting beside her.  He caressed his knuckles against her cheek, enjoying the way she giggled as the touch began to tickle her. She finally calmed down and let her heavy eyes close at last.

Jerry got up when he saw his mission was completed. What was left was to watch her and wait; simple tasks which he thought were easy. As he lied down in the other bed, he felt a wave of calm wash over him. He knew the work he did that day exhausted him, but he never thought he would have wanted to recharge this badly.

When he finally let himself come to a rest, he seemed to be captured in a dream. This was unusual for him, since androids don't come across thoughts or emotions as easily as humans, even if they turned deviant. Despite this, he went along with it, following the darkness until he came across a view.

Jerry was greeted with the smell of dust and mold when he felt a hard fabric come in contact with his skin. He began to look around frantically, noticing he was tied up in a sack. Subconsciously, his breathing became labored as he squirmed.

He began to call out, "Hello? What's going on?" But his words were only replied with laughter, the voices seeming to come from two people. It sounded as if one were a girl, while the other was a boy, but he wasn't entirely sure since the sound of him being dragged across a cement floor was overbearing.

Pain intoxicated his body when he was thrown onto a table. He hollered out in response, but swallowed back his cries when light came in contact with his eyes. When the sack was open, he was yanked out of it and placed onto a wooden table.

It was difficult to see where he was because of the bright light shining above him, but he was able to see the blue blood implemented all over the walls, with the occasional scraps of metal lined along the floors. He closed his eyes tight at the view, praying it would all be over soon.

"So, what should we do with this one Dave?  He looks good for the car, maybe his heart can do something with the engine." A voice came, which only cause Jerry to erupt in panic.  "My heart!  No, please!  Don't hurt me!"

"Hey hey hey, we ain't gonna hurt you.  Just fix you up.  You'll be good as new after we take a few parts out of you, okay?" A heavy voice echoed, sending a chill down Jerry's spine.

"I don't wanna die.....please...."

A girl laughed as the sound of rustling metal wove it's way into the atmosphere, "We all don't wanna die, sweetie." She said, "But that's why we have murders and evil people in the world.  They fear death so much, that they apply it on others to see what it would be like for them."

Jerry only began to cry at her words, knowing that he was doomed to be killed.  "I don't wanna die!  Please!  Just let me-"

He was cut off by the surging pain corrupting his chest, looking down to only see a saw cutting its way through his body.  He screamed in agony, thrashing it hopes of getting him to stop, but only causing the girl to hold him down onto the table.  "Just a few more cuts David, and his system will go down."

Jerry only began to cry out more, screaming and kicking, but nothing was working.  Finally, his body froze.  He was unable to move or speak, he was left motionless.  But, he was still able to see.

He watched as his heart was torn out of his chest and thrown into a pile filled with others, the sight almost making him vomit.  He felt his body being taken apart piece by piece, each slab of metal seeming to have someplace to go.  When the man stopped his work, he motioned for the girl to take him away, which she swiftly obliged to.

Jerry was picked up, being in a heap of metal and parts, and carried down a long hallway which held rooms that resembled prison cells. It looked like a bedroom with no door, instead having long lines of metal strapped across the door frame to hold captive of what was inside. As he took in each sight, he spotted broken androids limping around behind the bars, them crying in pain and clashing against each other.

But, a single android caught his eye. It was a female, with short cut hair and a jacket seeming to be torn and damaged. It took him a moment to discover who it was, but when he did, he tried to call out her name. He was unsuccessful, since he was still rendered helpless. When he was brought towards a large trash can, he was dumped into it.

He looked up to see the girl that placed him in, and despite all that happened, a grueling smile was plastered onto her lips. She slammed the lid shut, and the echoing sounds of footsteps faded into the distance.
————————

Jerry awoke abruptly with a yelp, which caused Alice to wake with him. He sat up and began to shake, running a hand through his hair in hopes of calming down.

"Jerry? What's wrong? I'm scared...." She cried, as she huddled herself together. Jerry reached over and turned on the lights while his breathing returned back to normal.

"I know where Kara is, and we need to get her....now."
