I looked at the plain white clock next to my bed with frustration how could it be 5pm already? I rushed up out of bed heading straight for the door realizing I still had on my Swim Team jersey on. The logo for my team highlighted across my chest reading The Dolphins. I sighed and quickly threw back my hair in a bun and rushed out the door, By the time I got down the stairs my mother was already there at the bottom of the stairs tapping her foot in a frustrated rhythm her blonde curled hair bouncing on her shoulders while she gave me a quick look over and said " Why, Can't you ever just try to look nice?" She pushed her hands through her dismayed curls and turned quickly on her heel. Mumbling beneath her breathe just quietly enough I could barely make out what she was saying " You are just like your father," I looked at her back. A very familiar scene.

                                                                  .......................................................

The next morning I sat at my desk looking dazedly at the board as the teacher Ms. Johnson continued on with the lesson. Ms.Johnson was young and full of energy....A little too much for 7 in the morning. Just as I was on the verge of sleep we heard a knock startling me out of my daze. My day was about to get a lot more interesting. Behind the door we saw a flash of a face as it slammed open and strutted in a boy short for his age, Glasses and a goofy, sideways grin humming a tune. Honestly, I was surprised there wasn't  fog coming in from outside the hall for how dramatic his entrance was. But his first line was even better.

"So....How many girls here want to date me, Right now ? " He said slyly. Eyes bouncing from girl to girl

All the girls looked appalled except for Macy Vanagara. She smirked playfully, inviting him in.  All of the guys in the class snickered quietly in the back tossing paper airplanes and shoving each other, Completely oblivious. Just as The New Boy stood in the front shifting his weight completely calm Ms. Johnson stepped forward obviously disapproving of his behavior.

" You're Vincent, Correct? Vincent Alder?" She said with a frown

The boy looked her over quickly and his grin grew bigger and said "Yes, That would be me... Need my number, Address and a time? Cause seven thirty would be great,"

Ms. Johnson looked at him in disgust and shook her head. Quickly cutting to the chase.

"Listen Vincent I'll be your teacher Ms. Johnson and would just love to get on the same page with you. Speaking of which is the relationship of Teacher and Student. So take a seat and pull out your book and get ready for class," She said sternly pointing to the seat besides me and slamming a book on the desk. The annoyance that he caused her visible.

He shook his head in disappointment and headed to his seat head down and mumbling "You're loss,"

He slammed himself down next to me and pulled on his hood obviously reminiscing in his rejection. His rejection only earned a couple of minutes before he quickly turned to the girl a seat down from me, My best friend, Everin. She exchanged a quick look with me and her arm quickly shot up like a rocket loaded and ready to bust this guy. Just as suddenly as her arm went up it came down and she started to blush. This is what you get when you have desperate friends.

                                                       .......................................................................

" I swear, Mabel! It's not like that....I just liked getting some attention for once..," Everin said this not completely meeting my eyes and scratching at her arm continuously. She was lying.
