Alias' POV
Lilac and I ran as fast as we could through the woods. The loud thumping of footsteps behind us coming closer with each stride. We only run faster. But then, before we knew it...
"EEK!!!!" we scream as our dad runs up behind us, picking us up off our feet. "Dad! Put us down!" Lilac and I laughed. Our dad just chuckled. "Okay girls, okay." We just laughed and started our walk home.
Hi! My name is Alias Tremegata, and I just turned six-years-old! Well, me and my twin sister, Lilac! Our parents own the company that provides the largest amount of construction in all of Fiore! Fiore, our home, is known for its amazing wizards! Sadly, my family and I have no magic in our blood. My dad's parents were simple people, and they now live with us in our mansion! As for my mom's parents... We never really knew them. I think they died before Lilac and I were born...
Anyways, today was my and Lilac's birthday! Because we live in an isolated estate, we don't have many friends. Instead, our dad takes us out to the woods surrounding the estate for a nature walk! And oh how Lilac loves nature walks! Well, our dad played tag with us and soon it was time to head home.
As we were walking home, Lilac and I couldn't help but smell something different. As we stopped and sniffed the air, our dad, confused, turned to face us. "Hey, whats wrong?" he asked concerned. Lilac was silent, so I was the first to speak. "Dad! Just smell the air! Something's different!" I yelled. I sniffed the air one more time. Oh no, I thought. Without another word, I bolted in the direction of the estate. "Alias! Alias! Wait!" "Stop! Slow down!" I heard the frantic calls of my dad and sister, but I didn't care. I had to get home.
Lilac's POV
Dad and I ran after Alias. What's gotten into her? I wonder as we struggled to keep her in sight. Wait, I think. Isn't this the way to the estate?! I then sniff the air. I realize the problem almost immediately.
Still running I yell over to my dad. "We need to get to the estate! NOW!" I yelled as I tried my best to keep up with Alias. We ran and ran and ran, until...
Wham! Our dad pulls us over to the side. How did he...? When did he...? I thought to myself as Alias screamed saying she needed to get to the estate now. After she struggled for about 10 mins, she practically gave up. Before we knew it, she broke down into tears. "Alias..." I whispered.
Alias' POV
No.... nonononononoNO!!!! I thought as tears continued cascading down my pale face. My red locks were damp with sweat from running. My dad just looked shocked and confused. "Care to explain?" he said, letting my arm go finally. I just fall to the ground looking defeated. All I could do was look up at the sky and point.
Mr. Tremegata's POV
I pulled the girls over after sneaking around through a shortcut. Lilac looked shocked and confused, but Alias just screamed and kicked, yelling she needed to get to the estate. I try to get her to calm down but she only struggles more. "Alias..." I hear Lilac say, almost in tears. After about 10 mins, Alias calmed down. Finally, I thought. Before I could say anything, she broke down into tears. Great! A wild goose chase and now this! I think. By this point I'm both scared, worried, and even angry. "Care to explain?" I say, showing a little of each of these emotions in my words. Alias just collapsed crying and looked up at the sky. I followed to where her eyes went.
Oh no, I think quickly. I turn to the girls, pure horror plastered on my face. "Girls, go down the path, to the right, and then left. Stay on your left and there should be a cave. Stay there until either your mother or I come to get you," I tell them, my stern look frightening them. "But-" Lilac started, comforting a still crying Alias. I just stared at her. "No buts!" I yell before running off towards the estate. I turn back to see Alias and Lilac running off in the direction I sent them. Good, I think, a wave of relief washing over me. Now to the house. I bolt off in the direction of the estate without looking back.
Third Person POV
"No!" yelled an angry Alias. "We should have gone with him! We shouldn't have let dad leave like that!" she yelled again. Lilac, not knowing what to do, just started crying. Alias almost immediately softened. "Hey, I'm sorry. It's just-- It's been over an hour and I'm getting really worried." Alias say in true honesty. Lilac looked up at her and smiled a sad smile. There! Much better! I hater it when she cries! Alias thought to herself while smiling back. Lilac spoke up. "How about we head down to the estate to see how it's going? I'm sure they have it in control by now and mom and dad are just waiting for us to come home!" she said in high hopes. " Alright! Let's go!" Alias replied excitedly.
Little did they know the horror awaiting them at the estate...
