Have you ever dreamed of visiting another country?
Many have been lucky enough to do so, and some luckier ones even get to do it as a job. Maybe you've been dying to go to Italy, to walk down the stony paths of Venice, or perhaps to Jordan where the famous historical and archaeological Petra is located.
People are filled with wanderlust, the strong desire to travel, yet aren't able to because of various reasons. Though, it mostly comes down to simply not having enough time or money to make it happen.
This month of July is dedicated to those who can only imagine - welcome to our 'Summer in France' contest! An activity that will either quell that feeling of wanderlust (for a time) or feed it (...sorry?)
The theme of the contest is in the name - you will write a short story about spending a summer in France. It can be a story of you actually going before, or it can be a work of fiction using your own original characters. Whether it be a romantic vacation tale or a thrilling trip gone wrong, the plot is all up to you!
RULES AND GUIDELINES
-Submissions will run from July 3rd, 2018, to July 31, 2018 11:59:59 PM. EDT
-Stories must be written in English. At the moment, we do not have the capability to judge in any other language - sorry!
-Story must be set in France. It can be about anything you'd like, as long as the setting is somewhere in France.
-Story must adhere to Wattpad's guidelines, and cannot be rated mature. We'd like for these stories to be read by everyone.
-Story must be new and written specifically for this contest, but can be posted in an already existing anthology if you've got one.
-Story must be complete.
-No Fanfiction.
-One entry per person.
-Max word count of 3,000 - no more.
-Tag your story with #WFSummerInFrance so that people can find your story easily!

Once you've submitted, you're free to go ahead and post the link to your entry HERE, and only there! If any links other than the ones for entries are posted there or anywhere else, those will be automatically deleted. Repeat offenders will have their stories disqualified. This includes spamming others with the link to your entry.
