"When you feel up to it I have some serious things to discuss" You nodded and as you began to walk away his hand slid down the length of your arm and lingered at your hand as if intending to hold on but with a slight tremble present before he quickly withdrew his hold.
Loki's behaviour seemed odd, the look in his eyes as you left resembles that of a parent that has to tell their child of the death of a family pet, you know the I don't want to do this look. After you had showered and given yourself enough time to receive Loki's news you went to his room and knocked on his door. The response was almost instant he opened the door and looking up at his face your fears were confirmed when you saw the same look in his eyes. He gestured for you to come inside and you obliged.
"So the um serious conversation?"
"You may want to take a seat"
"That serious huh?"
"It would seem so, yes" He paced the room slightly as you sat on a nearby chair.
"(Y/N)... Although this will most definitely anger you I beg that you let me finish" Ok so not only is it important to me but for Loki as well I mean he just begged.
"Alright I'll shut up till you're done"
"Thank you, now... I have gone through every book about the Titans and any offspring they might have had in and outside of my library even going as far as Muspelheim, I have read every law that I could find in the entire multiverse and I'm left with two options to keep you from Thanos" Loki stopped pacing obviously struggling to look you in the eyes.
"And those options would be?"
"The only two that would most likely end in success is if I kill you before your powers awaken or... I wed you"
"What!?"
"As I said this news will anger you but they are the only ways to keep you safe because Earth has no leader and is very weak it would be handing you to Thanos if I sent you back. The only way to claim you to a realm would be through marriage"
"Why do I need to be claimed?"
"If Thanos learns of you and tries to take the wife of an 'Odinson' then he will be declaring war on Asgard" Your head was spinning as you tried to comprehend the situation. The look in Loki's eye had saddened even more.
"You must choose (Y/N) and I'm sorry but it must be now" You laugh slightly leaving him with a confused expression.
"Is marrying me such a bad thing?... You don't have to look so upset about it"
"(Y/N)" Loki took you into his arms.
"No man or god would be upset at the notion of your hand, the sadness you see is my fear that you may choose to die" His arms tightened around you and you could feel his body tense.
"Loki"
"Yes?"
"I will marry you"
"You will?"
"Yes I... um but the thing is um... you ... with you" You nervously fumbled your words.
"Don't worry there will be no need to consummate the marriage"
"O-OK, thank you"
"Now we must discuss the terms of our engagement" It was almost midnight when you finally got back to your room after you and Loki had finished discussing your marriage there was a long awkward silence Until now he had ignored anything you said about your home but today he listened to every word and you had spent hours conversing about your childhood although he didn't want to talk about his past. You didn't mind but you hope in future you could be someone he trusts.
