That night, all the Creeps were seated at the dinner table, waiting to be served. The food on the menu that night, or however you're supposed to say it, was mashed potatoes and crumbed steak. Jeff's favorite.
As Slender walked out with multiple dishes hovering behind him, he looked down at little Sally as the plates found their way to one Pasta each.
"Sally, my sweet child, what happened earlier this evening...?" Slender questioned her gently, taking a seat on the chair at the end of the table.
"Masky wouldn't let me go with him." Sally murmured, pursing her lips and giving puppy dog eyes.
"Do you understand why...?" Slender urged her calmly.
Sally shook her head. "Nope!"
Slender rested his long white arms upon the table, slightly leaning over to Sally as he spoke to her.
"Well, my dear, are you able to kill the Russian President?" Slender offered. "Are you able to fight your way passed all the guards, the dogs, the guns and grenades, the knives and the armies, just to kill a simple man...?"
A few Creeps looked over at Slender. Sally looked down at the plate which was just placed before her. "I don't think so..." she shrugged
Slender nodded. "Me neither. Masky, Hoodie, and Toby's job is quite difficult. They have to scale the entire country and find people who I have assigned them to kill. It is death defying, it is dangerous, and you would not stand a chance."
"Our job is death defying, risky, and other stuff too!" Sally argued.
"Indeed it is, my dear. But what THEY do, is not even HALF as easy as the things YOU do."
"Are you saying I'm useless...?" Sally muttered
Slender sighed. "No Sally. All I am saying is that you are inexperienced. That is all."
"So, I'm dumb?" Sally pushed
"No. Do not pretend like you do not understand what I am trying to say, because you are making yourself look dumb."
Sally screwed up her face, going to cry again.
"Now, now Sally. Eat your dinner, or you will go without." Slender warned. "You do not want that, now do you?"
Sally shook her head and started playing with her food. She really wanted to cry, but didn't want her food to be taken away.
After some time, nearly everyone had finished their dinner. Except Sally. As they all got up to put their plates in the sink, Slender too got up and grabbed Sally's plate. Slowly, of course.
Sally gasped and looked up. "W- Wait! Don't take it! Please!"
"My dear, you have not touched your food for an hour. I am quite certain you will be fine to go without dinner for one night." Slender stated
Sally burst out crying again.
Slender sighed and turned back to the kitchen, taking Sally's plate with him. He put it in the microwave for her in case she got hungry later.
After that, he went back to his study to check up on Masky and the other ProXies.
A few hours went by, and the hallways of the mansion were quiet. Slender was still in his study, wearing glasses (for some reason) as he filled out some paperwork.
As Slender wrote away, he heard a small and gentle knock on the wood of his study door.
Slender looked up. "Enter."
Sally's head peered into the room. "Um. Hey Slendy..."
Slender smiled warmly at her, even though he had no mouth, didn't mean he couldn't do it mentally.
"Yes my dear, what is it?" Slender spoke gently
"Um... can I have my dinner now?" Sally fiddled with her fingers nervously, twirling her dress a little as she spoke to the Slenderman.
"Of course, my sweet. It is in the microwave." Slender nodded in approval
"Can you grab it...?" she asked carefully
"I sure can." Slender stood up and took off his glasses, heading out the door and down the stairs to the kitchen.
He heated up Sally's dinner and placed it down on the table. "Have a seat, my dear."
Sally sat down and began to eat her dinner. Slender watched her happily.
"Why do you wear goggles?" Sally asked after a moment or two
Slender chuckled. "They are actually called glasses, and I wear them because... I guess I feel smarter with them on."
Sally giggled. "Smarter? Is it possible to be smarter than you Slendy...?"
Slender nodded slowly. "It is. But do not forget, I may not be the smartest being in the world... but I am definitely one of the wisest."
Sally giggled again. "What's the difference?"
"Well, to be smart simply means, to be good at Maths, English, History, and all of that stuff. Where, being wise, means you understand things, you know things, you have seen and experienced things that most people have not. Explored, found the lost, and are more than likely able to explain things that other people have found... unexplainable."
Sally's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. "Woah, you're super smart Slendy...!"
Slender chuckled before taking her plate again, this time, she had finished eating. "Well done my beautiful girl. Off to bed now, we have a big day tomorrow."
"What're we doing tomorrow Slendy?" Sally beamed happily at his praise.
"We are going on a little trip." Slender explained. "You and I, along with Jeffrey, Jane, Eyeless Jack, Laughing Jack, and maybe even Ben and Lazari too."
"How are we all going to fit in your car?" Sally questioned, confused
"Masky's coming back, of course." Slender confirmed
"He said he was going to be out for a week or something..."
Slender laughed as he picked Sally up off the chair. He carried her to her room and tucked her in to bed.
"Masky does not always tell the truth. Besides, I asked him to return so he could help me get everyone there. After that, he is leaving again."
"Why?"
"He has a job to do. Good night my dear."
"Night Slendy."
As Slender shut her door and turned off Sally's light, he stayed by the door and listened to her as she whispered to herself. "... I'm going to poke his eyeballs out and feed them to my pet fishies in the lake..."
Slender chuckled before walking back to his study.
