When we finally got back to the lame excuse for a house, I had bought two tanks, three T-shirts, four pairs of shorts, and a pair of black shoes that Erebos called 'flip flops'.
Stepping into the bathroom, I went over to the mirror and looked in at my reflection. The contacts were still in, and after some consideration, I decided to take them out. Just until tomorrow, of course.
I took a long, hot shower, then dressed in white shorts and the blue tank. I brushed my hair out and let it fall naturally around my face.
When I finally came out of the bathroom, Erebos was spread out on the couch watching tv. His eyes lifted to see me, and he grinned, "Look who it is!" He stood up and stretched, "Guess I'll go shower now. You can just watch tv or whatever."
I nodded, and watched as Erebos disappeared down the hallway and into the bathroom. My eyes swept over the couch, and with no hesitation I stepped into my black flip flops and slipped out the door into the dark night.

The cool, midnight breeze swept over my shoulders and pulled at the edges of my shirt as I walked down to the beach. A couple houses on the street were still lit up, shining some light against the black pavement as my shoes flopped along.
The road eventually met the plank path, and I let my fingers run along the smooth wooden fence and the occasional tall grasses that tipped down and licked at my hands when the wind picked up again. Suddenly, my feet were plunged into the soft, grainy feeling of the sand. A smile tugged at my lips as I remembered the first time I saw sand.
I picked up my flip flops and held them in my hand as I made my way down to the water. The roaring of the waves crashing down on the sand caught my attention instantly, and I laid down on the smooth sand, closing my eyes so that I could listen to the beautiful sound.
My mind drifted away as I laid there, my body stretched out and my hands tangled in the mess of hair falling in waves behind my head. The song that Erebos bought for me wandered into my head, and I found myself humming the tune.
I giggled mid-hum when the water came up and splashed my toes. Fingers caressing the sand next to me, my hums turned into lyrics, which I had memorized from the tons of times I listened to it today.
The words fell from my tongue, and everything around me just seemed to disappear. That is, until a huge wave decided to come down, leaving my entire body soaking wet.
I spit out a mouthful of disgusting water, "Gods!" I cried in annoyance, and immediately got up and walked to where the waves wouldn't try to kill me.
My eyes burned, and I brought my hands up and rubbed them. "Dammit! This sucks."
"Well if you were paying attention, you would have seen the wave coming. And you wouldn't be shaking like a hairless dog."
I nearly jumped ten feet when a voice responded to me. In my moment of surprise, I had flung the flip flops somewhere, and it was too dark to find them now. I rolled my eyes. But that wasn't really the issue right now.
"Who's there?" I called out forcefully, and managed to open my still stinging like hell's bitch eyes, searching around the deserted beach.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness, and I let out an annoyed breath as I was about to criticize Erebos for scaring me. I opened my mouth to say something, but another figure behind the first beat me to it.
"Ariadne. We have come to take you back to the safehouse."
I backed away slowly as more dark figures stepped into place behind the first and second. It was only a few seconds before whatever light was around hit their faces, and my body went cold.
