the dinner table was filled with delicious food. the cinnamon buns that were burning the air through the nose. the chicken was sitting in the middle along with several different sides surrounding it. the dishes were unused before this. the expensive china only been used during the wedding of jimin's parents.
jimin wasn't used to this much food. his eyes lit up at the sight of all the different things he could fill his tummy up with. his father was in the middle of saying a blessing, but jimin's head was held for the food. namjoons eyes peel open to stare at the boy right across him. he smiles as he watches jimin tuck his head low and sneak a bite of the bread already on his plate.
namjoon chuckled and it caught jimin's attention. he stared up at the older man before him. his left dimple more prominent when he's making a genuine smile. his lips peeled open softly, showing the top of his teeth. the cherry red objects became wet as he licked them slowly. namjoon watched as jimins tongue ran across the plump lips.
jimin was no longer looking at namjoon. he didn't take much of an interest just yet. but namjoon never took his eyes off of the ethereal man just across the table. he cleared his throat when the father was finished with his blessing.
"so, jimin, how about you tell our guest for a few months about you," he smiles, taking a piece of chicken and the sides around them.
jimin tilts his head for a quick second. he made a low groan as to signal he was thinking while he grabbed for the salad. namjoon bit his lower lip as he stared down at his empty plate, deleting the bad thoughts from his head.
"well you know my name is jimin. i go to a dance school sometimes. i still attend school —i'm seventeen years old, born october thirteenth. oh, i guess a fun fact could be i'm incredibly flexible."
"flexible you say?" namjoon perks up a brow as he gathered rice onto his plate.
jimin nodded, sticked the metal chopstick in his mouth. he slowly took it out, unaware of the affect it gave namjoon. "i could bend myself in half. i can also do a split."
"i've never met a flexible man in my life," he chuckles and looks at the father. "you got a real special one here."
jimin blushed as he cut through the meat in his plate. he didn't know how to take all the compliments. he's never been complimented this much before.
"father, may jungkook and hoseok come over?" he wipes his mouth with his white steamed napkin. "we'll be in the library per usual."
the old man grunted. he nodded and jimin smiled as he scooted himself. "may i excuse myself?" his smile was so wide that his cheeks became painful. and when his father accepts and he bows to him with an "i love you" as he runs away to call his beat friends.
"your son is incredibly polite. where'd he get perfect manners like that?" namjoon smiles, sticking the meat in his mouth.
"his late mother taught him to always be happy no matter what." he rubs his face as namjoon finishes with his food. "listen, i got to head out of town tomorrow. there's a meeting where all the principals of the schools need to be. you don't mind being alone with him, right? the maids will be gone saturday."
namjoon smirked once more. he shook his head. "i would love to try and spend the day with him tomorrow."
