the sky was blue. it wasn't gloomy, but happy. the clouds scattered at the right places. the birds chirping their melodic sound. the beetles making their mating call noise throughout the town. the wind dancing with the orange and red colored leaves on the ground. the soft steps of a high school boy as he pranced down the side walk of his beautiful home in busan.

walking home from a long day of school. his feet crunched the dead leaves below him. he made sure to step on an equal amount for each foot that needed the crisp feeling. a soft hum fell from the cherry lips of jimin. the symphony of an unknown melody. a melody he might have heard on a local radio days back. or maybe a tune he came up with himself.

he made his way down the concrete sideway to his beautiful home. the home that seemed so empty yet was so alive even when there were just a few workers and his father to accompany him. when he propped opened the door, one of the maids was carrying a tray of food.

"may i help you?" jimin plops down his bag at the foot of the door. he walked up to jinsoo to grab the silver tray with a late lunch on top. "is this for father?"

"bless you, son, it is for the new guest. your father will be out of town for two days. spend your saturday wisely tomorrow while my day off is present," he winked at him. he chuckled and carefully brought up the silver platter. his small chubby fingers wrapped carefully around the handles as he walked up the long steps.

he made his way to the room next to his. he kicked the door softly to signal he was there. he heard shuffling from the other side of the door. he tried putting on his best smile to show he was polite. when the door flung open the smile nearly disappeared along with the tray of food in his hands.

namjoon was standing there, in his undergarments. he swore and he ran back in to put on a shirt and his trousers. jimin looked down as he became embarrassed he saw the guest in his underwear without a shirt on.

"i'm sorry about that," he rubbed the nape of his neck. jimin shook his head. "hey, come in." he pulls jimin in from the hallway. he closed the door behind him and sat back down at the wooden desk just at the opposite end of the bed. he placed the food in front of namjoon who smelled the tomatoes and radishes pleasantly. he smiled at the soy eggs that stood out the most.

jimin sat down at the other side of the desk. he rubbed his arm up and down as he watched namjoon stare the food down. the elder smiled and pick up and egg. "want one?" he hands it to jimin.

the teenage boy perks up at the egg. but he slouches down and shakes his head. "father told me never to accept another mans food."

"sometimes fathers are wrong," namjoon says. he reaches over and tales jimin's hand in his and placed the egg in. the way jimin's eye lit up and the way his smile grew larger. he was almost like a kid. not even close to being seventeen and almost an adult. just one long month until so.

jimin quickly shoved the entire egg into his mouth. the brown food splitting into two to make his cheeks puff up. he chewed happily on the egg.

"you can sure fit a lot in your mouth," he smirks. jimin, not understanding what he means or where he was going at. he smiled and nodded. namjoon watched as jimin finished down the egg and smiled. he stood up, dusting himself off. "leaving so soon?"

jimin stopped and looked up at namjoon. "y-you want me to stay, sir?"

"please, call me namjoon," he smiles, drinking his water. "and of course, how else am i supposed to pass town. with your father out for another day, what will we do?"

jimin shrugged. "what will we do?"
