seventeen is a prime year. people say sixteen is when you really live your life. but to park jimin being seventeen meant that he could do so much more when he's eighteen. to escape the things he couldn't before.

namjoon sat in the front and talked to his father. which left jimin alone in the back seat to pout and cross his arms. he really was a kid trapped in an adult body.

namjoon sighed as they arrived at the gigantic home. he wouldn't ever think of buying this big of a house. he just didn't understand the point. of having a huge house to himself when he could save so much more money to be in a small but mediate apartment.

jimin stepped out of the car and pranced inside. he wanted to get out of those clothes and start dancing softly to the soft melodic sound that the vynls gave off. namjoon watched him and his father caught on.

"my jimin is special, you know," he starts off, "he's incredibly docile for a boy his age."

"ah," namjoon nods. a few seconds later as they start walking up the rock driveway, jimin came back. he changed his mind and decided to grab namjoon by his hand.

"father, can me and joonie go for an adventure?" he says, making pouty faces. "i finished my work and my chores! i also mastered the dance you told me to learn."

his father sighed in annoyance. "i swear, you need to make friends your own age." he turned to namjoon with a sarcastic face. "you don't have to feel guilt tripped you can st—"

"i don't mind," he interrupts. he suddenly apologises quietly for cutting in the middle of his higher-ups sentence.

"if you insist," he sighs. he turns around and heads to his house. jimin squealed softly and started dragging him to the back of his home. as they were running, jimins hair flew through the air. the long strands of his clothes flew through the wind as well. namjoon was captivated by the young boys features and looks. his heart sped up not only from the running pace they were at, but because of the warm feeling he started to get around jimin.

jimin lead them to the middle of a field. the flowers were bloomed as the may air filled them with care. jimin started to slow down which meant namjoon did the same. namjoon noticed an old looking tree. the tree still had beautiful leaves and flowers growing on them. he admired how beautiful an old tree could still look.

jimin crouched down as namjoon continued to gaze at the tree. he placed his hand onto it, but jimin swatted it away. he wrapped his arms around namjoons neck instead. he stood onto his tiptoes to reach him face-to-face. jimins breath was heard since it was still heavy from the run. he looked jimin in the eyes, heart nearly pounding out of his chest. he felt odd having a feeling like this towards someone he merely just met. let alone someone who was more than a decade younger than him.

"joonie." he whispers softly. the breeze hit them in the right spots. jimins hair raising up to expose his forehead which was the best sight to see where they were. "you mind if i call you that?"

namjoon shook his head slowly. his eyes lingered around jimins face. he wanted to lean in so badly, but he didn't want to ruin jimin's soft innocence.

the young boy sighed. "i used to come here all the time," he smiles, "with mom."

namjoon nods. listening to what jimin has to say. "she always told me to behave for my father after she fell ill. we used to come out here together and play. it was best feeling in the world. i wish i could have them back."

jimin hugged namjoons waist tightly. "that's why i want you to bring them back for me," he smiles and raises himself to level with namjoon again. he looked down at namjoons pouted lower lip and  slowly put his cherry ones closer to his.
