namjoon was working on an important packet of work from the super intendant. he only had two days left to finish before he had to hand it in at the high school. because of the day jimin and namjoon had in the rain, he didn't get much time that day. so he decided to stay up past midnight to finish it off, so he could have the day off.
namjoon had a soft vinyl playing. there was one in his room which meant he had to hunt through jimins collections to decide he wanted a classical feel. he didn't know the artist, but it didn't matter because he hummed the tune while he filled out questions with his pen.
everything felt so calm. it was nearing one A.M. so the roads were silent; besides a couple of people coming home from a night club. the soft sounds in the background as his concentration was at it's finest peak. he felt like time was flying by as he answered the simple questions and read through all the work books.
that was until a flash of lightening appeared and twelve seconds after a blast of thunder cracked through the sky. namjoon jumped slightly, not expecting to see a storm that night since the sky seemed clear. the rain started dripping and soon came to a down pour. within the second flash of lightening, a pair of bare feet sounded in the next room and soon a door bursted open.
"jimin?" namjoon quickly says before the smaller boy runs up to him and crawls in his lap. he hides his face in the crook of namjoons neck as he stiffens when the next flash lights up the room. namjoon sat dumbfounded at the boy, but wrapped his arms around the boy softly.
"joonie, save me," he says in almost despair. namjoon furrowed his brows but took it as he wanted to be away from the storm. namjoon took off his glasses and held jimin close. he nuzzled his face in jimins puffy hair.
"i'll save you," he says, "even if i get killed."
