Chapter 10

Boris' POV

I looked out the window in silence waiting for Mugs to return safe and sound. I felt extremely nauseous as my palms began to sweat up from nerves. 'I hope he's alright.' I thought anxiously as I continued to wait patiently.

Mugman's POV

I groaned in pain as my eyes pry open slowly. I blink a little and open my eyes fully to see nothing but pitch black darkness. "Hello?" I called out but quickly regret it when my throat started to burn. I cough roughly deciding not to yell or talk due to my dry throat aching for water or something to soothe the pain. The lights flickered on and I close my eyes shut due to the brightness of the light. I hear a small snicker and heavy footsteps walking towards me. "So you must be the infamous brother of Cuphead." The deep voice mocked. I gritted my teeth in anger knowing that he's mocking me. I bite my tongue and stayed silent keeping my eyes closed softly. "The silent type huh? Don't worry he will make you talk one way or another." The deep voice stated darkly and proudly. I hissed in pain feeling the stinging sensation coming from my right cheek. "You'll talk once he's finished with YOU." The voice stated saying 'you' in more of a darker tone. I heard the footsteps fade away and a door slamming shut.
I sighed softly and opened my eyes. I looked around to see that I am in a cell. I felt my skin crawl at the noise of the growling and howling. I tried to get up but I felt something rough tug at my skin roughly. I look down to see a rope tied around my wrists and legs. I struggled to get the rope of my ended up burning my wrists getting a harsh rash at the tugging. I let out a breath of frustration and stopped trying and sat alone in the cell shivering in fear as the sounds of growling and howling got louder. 'I just wanted to look for my brother and get home to Boris and this is what I get.' I thought sadly. 'Boris....' I thought sadly as I waited silently.

Unknown POV

"Sire the man has captured the target." I hear my assistant state in my earphone. "Perfect I'll be there immediately." I exclaimed in glee. 'Finally He has arrived, all is going well my lord.' I thank my lord in my thoughts. "I must cut this short Cuphead please do excuse me for this unexpected turn of events." I state in a calm tone but is very eager to see what Felix has brought to me. "Guards make sure the cup leaves this place at once." I commanded in a strict tone. They nod stiffly as they grabbed Cuphead and lead him out the door. 'Finally phase 1 complete, now to see the beloved family member.' I thought happily. I stood up from my chair and walked out of my office. I reached the basement door and opened it. I walked down the stairs the stairs creaking slightly each step I take. I finally reach the end of the stairs and walked down the eerie basement where I hear the beast howling waiting to be set free. I smile in glee as I reached the cell. The guards opened the cell and I enter. "Ah it's good to finally meet you Mugman." I greet darkly.

Cuphead's POV

I wondered what was it that was so important that he rushed me out? I slowed down my pace and turned my head around slightly and looked back to where I was previously. 'I have a bad feeling that something is happening back at that asylum.' I thought cautiously feeling my stomach turn. I shake my head and continued to walk. I reached the apartment door and opened it to see Bendy asleep on the couch. 'Was he waiting for me? That's cute.' I thought as I smiled softly and closed the door softly. I walked towards him and sat down. I kissed his temple and pulled him closer to me. "MUGS IS THAT YOU?!" I hear a voice cry out. I sat up immediately and saw Boris, his eyes were blood shot red and was tear stains running down his cheeks. "What are you talking about." I asked suddenly worried about my brother. "Mugs went out earlier to look for you but hasn't returned since and I've been worried because he could be hurt." Boris stated in one breath. My eyes widened in realization. That's what he meant by things getting bloody. All I saw was red and my body shook in anger. "MUGS!" I screamed. I ran back out the door and out the apartment. I ran faster than I ever did before now knowing that my baby brother is in some serious trouble.
"YOU ARE A DEAD F*****!" I screamed in anger as I reached the dark alleyway and saw the rusty door.
