Chapter 12

   Cuphead's POV

            *A few hours later...*

                   I sat the bed in the dimly lit room patiently as I stared into Boris' eyes with no emotion in return he glared at me softly. I clench my fists tightly feeling the sweat on my palms as I gulp very lightly. "Well?" Boris asked sassily. I continued to stare at him not responding to his question. Boris sighed in frustration gripping his hair tightly. "Cuphead I want an explanation to why I saw Mugs in such a horrid state!" I didn't flinch at his tone but looked down at the wooden floor in shame, guilt, and regret. 'This is all my fault....Mugs was hurt again because of my actions...' I thought shamefully. Boris stood up walked over to me and grabbed me by my jacket collar making me look up at him. "ANSWER ME!" He barked loudly in my face. I finally gave him an answer and shook my head no and shoved him off me. "I don't have to explain anything to someone like you." I snapped at him. I felt his glare deepen when I turned my back and heard him growl dangerously low.

                    "This is ridiculous! Stop acting like such a child and tell me what happened to him!" He demanded raising his voice much higher than before. "I won't repeat myself. Don't forget Boris your just a child as well don't step into my business stay in your own lane." I stated darkly walking towards the door. I heard footsteps run towards the door. I looked up slightly to see Boris blocking the doorway with a face that is flushed red from anger. "Boris get out of my way." I said in a monotone voice. 'I don't have time for these childish game Boris move dang it!' I thought tiredly. "No not until you stop being such a coward and man up to your actions! Face it you made the same mistake you did 12 years ago, snap out of it and realize that your actions and decision will put you, Mugs, mine, and even Bendy's lives in danger! Your not the hero here so stop trying to be one and make better decisions!" Boris screams angrily breathing heavily. 'I need some fresh air, this kid....' I thought to myself. Mindlessly I pushed Boris to the ground roughly and slammed the door behind me. I walked towards the main door that leads to the outside. "Cuphead?" I hear voice call out gently. I turn around slightly to see Bendy standing there with a confused and agitated look. "Now where are you going?" He asked calmly. "Out." I replied and left.

               Bendy's POV

                      "Out." He replied and left. I stared at the door slightly annoyed and aggravated. 'Cuphead I was just worried about you and your whereabouts no need to be a female dog about it. And what was with Boris yelling like that?' I thought curiously. I rolled my eyes and went to Mugs room. 'Boris would probably be there.' I entered Mugs room to find Boris sitting next to him watching him peacefully. "Hey bro you okay?" I asked walking over to him. "Yeah I'm fine just worried." He replies emotionless rubbing his fingers through Mugs hair. 'I don't believe that but I'll ask later.' I hummed in reply and scratched behind his right ear. "Alright bro I'm going to go find Cuphead and bring him okay?" I told him gently as I stopped rubbing his ear. "Wait Bendy I don't know about that." He told him gripping my wrist tightly. "Why not?" I asked curiously. "We aren't on good terms at the moment you should let him cool off." He says sadly. "I've given him plenty time to cool off he will be fine." I told him  wanting to find him in a hurry. He let go of my wrist reluctantly and looked at me with sad eyes. I walked away saying I'll be back soon and to stay safe.

     *Time Skip*

                    After searching around town I stopped at a lp bar and entered. I saw Cuphead and this lady talking to each other. I walked over to a stool and sat close enough to hear their conversation. "Cuphead you can't snap at him like that, he's just worried about your brother." The lady says trying to reassure and calm Cuphead. "I know I know it's just very annoying now." He states tiredly letting out a puff rubbing his face. 'Huh?' I thought feeling a bit confused. "So anyway, how are you and Bendy?" She asks smugly. My eyes widened at the mention of Cuphead and I. I scooted closer to hear a little better. 'How does she know about us? Did Cuphead tell her?' I thought. "I don't know Hilda, I wanna be there for him and just hug him and all that but I can't because I'm always busy with you know." He replies sadly taking a sip of his drink. 'Busy with what? And hug me what?! Awww Cuppy!' I thought as questions flooded my mind. "Oh really then take some time off and spend it with him." She tells him grinning from ear to ear. 'I should probably go now...' I thought. I jumped off the stool and walked towards the door.

               Cuphead's POV

                    "You know what Hilda your right." I stated getting up to leave. "Of course I am! I'm always right honey." She States cockily flipping her hair back. I rolled my eyes at her comment and said good night.

           *Time Skip (1:47am)*

                   I arrived at the apartment and opened the door. I closed the door softly and saw Bendy playing Call of duty. I sat down next to him. "Hey Bends." I greet softly. "Oh hey Cups." He replies pausing the game turning to me. "I'm sorry for my behavior before I left a couple of hours ago, I realized that you were just worrying about my safety and whereabouts." I say in one breath. "I forgive you now give me a hug you big dummy." He States hugging my waist tightly. I hug him back and kiss his forehead gently.

          ???? POV

           "Aw how cute! I will take back what is rightfully mine they'll see!" I stated chucking darkly walking away from the sight.
