"Kiss me"
I exclaimed it to the mountain
I shouted at the horizon
Taken by me, the Sun beamed back
Flames upon my cheek, upon her hair
"Kiss me, you're beautiful"
She was eternal
She was mine
I tried to embrace her
Press my heart to her
Press the rhythm of my being to hers
But my arms could not contain the flames
She boiled beyond and echoed into the sky
The clouds themselves grimaced
"Kiss me, I need you"
Her face was carved with a grin
Yet how cold I felt in the void of her eye
How cold it is in her arms
Inhaling deep the sands, they fill my lungs
"Where are you going?"
I exclaimed it to the cosmos
The heavens ignored my request
My desperation fell into the wind
My breath, stolen
My body, scorched
My blood turned to steam
I am one with the flame
And the ash embraces me as I collapse
