Heroes (a zodiac story)

Chapter sixteen

Lewis was lying on a hospital bed, his eyes were lit up by the lamp Hydra was shining in his eyes. In the small room with only two beds, two girls stood there looking at the occupied bed, concerned and not sure what to do. 

"Genesis," the black haired girl took a step forward, "take off his shirt so we can treat the injuries underneath. Lotus, go get the bandages, disinfectant,  suture needle, and thread. It's in the next room." 

The girls all started to do their assigned task without saying a word. The rest of the half hour was almost silent with only a few necessary 'yes' and 'Give me the...'. They weren't in the mood for small talk when they saw Lewis laying like that.

Lewis had two bruised ribs, a blue eye, and an icky head wound. It were all injuries you would get from a normal fight except for the his head wound. The wound had a peculiar shape, like some treasure map cross, with some sticky blue stuff in it. Hydra picked up a sample before we cleaned the wound out.

"So, all done," Hydra put a lock of her blue hair behind her ear, "Genesis, you can go change into the tracksuit and meet with up with the others. I will be there soon."

Genesis nodded, glanced over at Lewis, and the walked out the door. Once Genesis was out the room Hydra turned her gaze at Lotus.

"Lotus, you stay here and watch Lewis. I will be back in a a few minutes," and she walked into the medical supply room. Or what is thought to be the medical supply room.

Genesis walked to the training building as she put her long black hair in a ponytail. When she walked into the training hall every went silent. All the eyes were on her, each burning his one hole in her to get her to talk. She brought herself to smile to ease the minds of the people on front of her. She took a deep breath and walk up to the group sitting on the floor and she sat down with them.

"How is he?" Ravi asked.

"Lewis is fine," Genesis said in a soothing voice while she looked at everyone. "He got a few bruised ribs, a blue eye, and a small head wound."

Everyone sighed in relief and some even smiled a little.

"Is he awake? Can we see him now?" Aiden looked ready to stand up and sprint to Lewis.

"No....no, he's still asleep. Hydra and Lotus are with him right now." Genesis thought about Lewis and his injuries. The blue stuff on in his wound won't leave her mind. Should she tell the others? But they were so relieved when they heard he was okey......No. They need to know. How can we even become a team when we keep things like this from each other.

"And he-"

"He will make a quick recovery." Genesis got cut of by Hydra who just walked in the room. What is she planning? Keeping this won't do any good to becoming 'heroes' or whatever she called it. Genesis grinned to herself.

"Blue sticky stuff," everyone now looked at genesis again, "We found some kind of blue sticky stuff in Lewis his head injury." Hydra's face turned pale as Genesis looked over her shoulder at her. "Did you find out what it is?"

Hydra kept staring at the black haired girl in front of her. Lying will make anything worse at this point. "It was a hallucination drug which made him pass out. Lotus is making a cure so he will be completely normal when he wakes up. Now, let's start training." She clapped her hands and every slowly stood up, still a bit in shock from the news. 

Hydra picked up a lot of pawns together with Declan, Brooke, and Anastasia and conducted everyone outside. There she put the pawns on every corner of a rectangle. With every rectangle she measured the sides with her steps. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fiveteen steps before she made a 90 degree turn. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten steps and the last rectangle is finished. Now 40 pawns made 10 rectangles.

Lyra leaned to Ruby. "What is she doing?"

"I don't know," Said Ruby.

"Alright everyone come stand by one each of the 10 rectangles," Hydra waited for everyone to be at their place before she continuted. "You start by sprinting at one short side and the rest you jog. Then you sprint 2 sides and jog the rest and the 3 sides and so on. You do this 2 times........what are you guys waiting for? Run!"

"Man, I feel like a real chemist doing this." Lotus mumbled to herself. She's in the medical supply room, which actually looks more like an old chemistry lab with medical supplies. Hydra ordered her to make a cure for Lewis and give it to him when he's still asleep.

"Couldn't the one who wrote it write it with less extremely cursive letters?" Unfortunately the recipe of the cure she had to make was written with extremely cursive letters in a very old dusty book. When she was finally finished she put the liquid cure in a little jar.

She walked out of the room to Lewis's bed. She put down the little jar and picked up a small towel to wipe some sweat from Lewis's head. When she put down the towel Lewis's eyes shot open and he jerked, scarring Lotus.

"Thank god you-" Lewis hit her right in the face with his fist, without warning, and Lotus fell down from the sudden blow. Her hand touched her red cheek.

"Lewis, what are y-" Lewis got up from the bed.

"Did you think I would go down without a fight!" He kicked Lotus in the stomach hard and she gagged holding her stomach.He was coming with another punch.

"Lewis!" Lotus screamed as she dogded it and crawled to the medical supply room. But Lewis figured out what she was doing and he yanked at her hair till she was on her back.

Lotus screamed. "Lewis! Lewis stop! Please!" She punched him in the face, right in his already black eye. Lewis got of her and she made a run to the medical supplies. She quickly closed the door and locked it. On the other end, an angry Lewis tried to open the door.

"Man, I'm beat." Drago said when they were walking back to the mansion.

"Really? I could easily go another round." Anastasia used Drago's back as a punching bag for soft punches.

"Hey! That's my back and not a punching bag."

"They look the same to me." Anastasia shrugged.

"I wonder if Lewis is already awake." Ruby mumbled.

"I guess we'll find out now." And Declan opened the door.

When they came in the hallway they saw Lotus walking down stairs. "I heard you guys came back," she smiled, "How was the first training?"

"Awful, the only thing we did was running." Genesis said.

"I'm glad I dodged that bullet then."

Koda took a step forward. "How's Lewis?"

"He's asleep but fine. You guys can go see him if you're quit."

Well the last part got a bit more intense then I first thought it would be. Sorry for that, I guess I watch to many crime series😂
