Chapter seventeen

The group of sweaty teens walks past Lotus to go see Lewis. As they are in the infirmary and out of sight, Lotus clutches her stomach and squints her eyes from the pain. She takes sharp breaths as she tries to compose herself. The door of the infirmary opens and ruby's head pops out. Lotus quickly stands up straight and flashes a small smile.

"Are you coming?" Ruby asks.

"Yes, I'll be right there." Lotus walks up the stairs to the infirmary.

When Ruby and Lotus into the infirmary everyone is gathered next to Lewis his bed. Some of them turn around to look who came inside. Genesis and Drago walked towards Lotus while Ruby walked toward the group.

"So how is he?" Drago asked with sadness in his eyes.

"Lewis is fine. His fever is over and he should wake up soon." Lotus lays her hand on Drago's shoulder and looks him in the eye. "He will be okay." Drago nods and walks away.

"Did anything strange happen while we were gone?" Genesis asks.

"No..." Lotus looks at Lewis and back at Genesis. "No, nothing strange happened." She looks down at her feet and shakes her head, letting out a small laugh to cover her lie. "Unless you find snoring like a bear strange."

Genesis smiles and laughs a little too. "And he hasn't woken up yet?"

"No, he was like this the whole time."

"That's odd. I thought he would already be awake right now." Genesis looks at Lewis with a worried look in her eyes.

"Maybe there was some sort of anesthesia in that medicine Hydra ordered me to make."

"Oh about that, that medicine was a cure for that blue stuff in Lewis' wound. Hydra said it makes him hallucinate."

"That explains a lot." Lotus murmurs under her breath.

"What?"

"What?"

"He's awake," Anastasia says. Genesis looks at Lotus suspiciously before she walks away. Lotus sighs and joins the group.

Lewis is sitting straight up, he looks at all the worried faces in front of him and smiles....until he sees one particular face. His eyes widen. Images of memories he didn't even know he had flashed before his eyes. He clutches his head with his hand and screams in pain.

"Lewis!" Brooke screams.

Genesis walks up to the front and tries to calm him down. "Lewis, look at me. Everything will be okay. Calm down. We're here for you." Lewis calms down and looks at Genesis. Her eyes soften when she sees the fear in his eyes, the sadness.

"It would be good a good idea if Lewis could recover in his room instead of here. With the familiar atmosphere and a more comfortable bed, Lewis would heal faster. " Declan said.

Genesis looks at him. "Yes, that would be a good idea. Aiden," Genesis now looks at Aiden. "Could you help me bring Lewis to his room. The rest of you can go."

"Uh...maybe I could stay behind and clean this place," Lotus said in a small voice.

"Okay, good luck." Genesis walks out of the room with Aiden and Lewis.

Lotus smiled, not moving one a finger as she waits for them to be gone. She stands like that for another minute till the first floor was completely silent. With a quick pace, she made her way to the door and locked it. Her back rest against the closed door and she let out a sigh. She walked towards the small mirror that was hanging above the sink. Lotus took her shirt and assessed her injuries in the mirror.
