Heroes (a zodiac story)

Chapter twelve

A blond intruder walked into the air suite. It was too dark to see anything, so he had to walk in touch. Trying not to make any sound or his plan will fail. Luckily he has already been here before so he knows his way around a bit and more importantly, where her room is.

He carefully walked to her door and opened it quietly. He shook his head because the door was unlocked.

"Not so smart of her." He whispered to himself.

He walked into her room and to her bed. She was still sound asleep with a peaceful look on her face.

The intruder shook his head again. "Such a shame."

He grabbed something out of his back pocket and...

"Did you guys hear that?" Lotus asked.

She was sitting with Ravi, Koda, Genesis, Lyra, Aiden, Ruby, and Drago in the dining room. Brooke and Declan were making breakfast because they were the best in cooking out of all twelve.

"What?" Ravi asked from across of her.

"I thought I heard something."

"I heard it too. It sounded like a horn or something." Koda looked at the door to the hallway where the sound came from.

Lyra looked at the awfully quiet Aiden and Drago. They were grinning like a madman trying to hold there laughter. Did they have something to do with the sound? She decided to shrug it off and continue her conversation with Ruby when Lewis walks into the room with a smug face. She didn't even notice he was gone until he came back. He walked straight to Drago and Aiden and the started whispering.

A minute or so later Anastasia opens the door with a bang. She had an angry, and at the same time grumpy, look on her face. She was a mess. She had bags under her eyes, her red hair looked like a bird's nest and she was still in her pajamas. The fire signs couldn't hold there laugh anymore now and started laughing really loud.

"What happened to you?" Genesis asked while looking at her friend.

"That blonde haired devil and his horn." She pointed to Lewis who was smiling sweetly at her.

"The punishment of almost missing breakfast. Your welcome." He bowed down.

The door to the kitchen opened and Brooke and Declan came walking in with breakfast. They put the food on the table and joint the others. Anastasia sighed and also sat down next to Genesis.

Declan-Brooke-Koda-Lotus-Ruby-Lyra on the right side and
Lewis-Anastasia-Genesis-Ravi-Aiden-Drago on the left side of the table.)

"It looks delicious!" Ruby looked at all the delicious breakfast stalled in front of her.

"Let's eat, then!" Brooke picked up a plate with pancakes and put some on her plate.

Everyone started to fill their plate with food and started eating.

"This is really good." Aiden took another bite of his waffle and looked at Brooke.

"Thank you! But I couldn't do it without Declan." Brooke smiled at Aiden and Declan looked up hearing his name.

"I just followed your orders." He pointed to her with his fork.

"What do you guys think of the horses?" Drago looked at Ruby, Lotus, and Lyra who were sitting across from him with a smile.

"They're amazing!" Ruby's eyes sparkled.

"They are! Only too bad I can't ride them for some time." Lotus said a little sad.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" Brooke ran out of the dining room into the kitchen while everyone stared at her.

Less then a minute later she came back with a cup of tea. She put it in front of Lotus and smiles.

"Hydra said to give you this. It will help your leg heal faster."

They all look at the cup of 'tea' and saw a dark blue liquid in it.

"I-is it safe?" Lotus was still looking at the cup in front of her.

"I think she wouldn't give you if it wasn't."

Lotus signs and picks up the cup.

"Wait, you're really going to drink that?" Aiden asked.

Lotus nods slowly, looking more scared to drink it because of that comment. She signs ones again and closes her eyes. She brings the cup to her lips and starts to drink it, everyone's gaze at her while she did. The liquid was surprisingly pretty tasty with a good temperature. She drank the last drop of the tea and she put the cup down. She opened her eyes and everyone gasped. Lotus looked at them a little scared.

"W-what is it?"

"Your eyes! They're blue!" Lyra said and it was true.

After Lotus opened her eyes were the same color as the liquid. It didn't last long because the color is already slowly fading away from her eyes.

"That wasn't normal medicine," Koda mumbled.

"You're right, Koda. It isn't normal human medicine. It's from Astria." Hydra entered the dining room.

"Astria?" Ravi looked at her.

"The world where your kingdoms lie. But before you kids can go there you'll have to accomplish a few tasks."

"Tasks?" Genesis asked.

"Three to be exact. The first one is here on earth-"

"So you're saying we will leave earth? Leave our family and friends?" Anastasia asked.

"Sadly yes but after you accomplish the tasks you can visit them as much as you like. Your first task is to save a world."

"How do expect us to save a world?" Drago raised an eyebrow at her.

"You'll become heroes with your powers of course!" Hydra said happily.

Everyone started whispering to each other. The one exited and the other still a little confused while others just kept their mouth shut.

Koda looked around the table. He was the only one not talking together with Declan. He let what Hydra said sink in. A hero? He? He would most likely be more of a villain than a hero. He knew the others were more fit to be a hero then he, even if he doesn't really know them yet. But he was sure that one of them would be a great hero because she was already a hero to him. He was shaken out of his thoughts by Hydra's talking.

"Your powers will come to you after you got your true form," Hydra explained.

"Uhm okey....mysterious much." Ruby mumbled.

"Then I explain more. You lost your true form when you came here on earth. They were chosen out by your ancestors and if you make it to Astria you can change them to whatever you like. Your true forms will be awakened soon."

"How soon is 'soon'?" Lewis asked.

"A few weeks so pretty soon."

"How did we die?" Declan asked and everyone looked at him.

"That's something you'll have to find out yourselfs. I'm not allowed to tell you that." Hydra said a little les cheerful then before. "If that was the last question I'll let you continue your breakfast. If another question pops up I'll be around the house." She started to walk away but turned around to face the kids. "Oh and you'll be going back to a normal highschool next week."

"What!?!?"
