Chief's wedding

Good morning

The Hoffason house  

Astrid Hoffason collapses onto her bed next to her fiance Hiccup Haddock, who pulls her close & starts kissing her behind her era. "That's all you're getting from me until the wedding" She says with a giggle, enjoying the warm breath on her neck & the fact her future husband clearly isn't done with her yet. 

"Oh really" He breaths. "& what about what you get from me? Because I doubt you can survive a week without getting some of all this" He says gesturing down his body & Astrid can't help but laugh. "I'll admit it'll be hard to resist all that raw Vikingnes, but I'm sure I can get through a week, we have been apart longer than that before" She says. "& it'll make the wedding night so much sweeter if we go without each other for a week" He groans into her neck at the thought. "I can't wait to officially have you as my wife" He says. "I've made sure our marriage bed is strong enough to with stand all the things I'm going to do to you" Astrid giggles again & makes a half-hearted attempted to wriggle out of her fiance's grip.

He lets her go running a hand across her bare waist as he duos Astrid gives a small gasp at the feeling & shacks her head telling him no in the flirtiest way possible before climbing out of bed, she can feel Hiccup watching her as she grabbed a robe & puts it on, making no move himself to get out of bed & get ready for the day. "Come on Chief, get that sexy butt of yours out of bed"  She smiles turning back round to face the love of her life."You've got work to do"

He sighs & climbs out of bed picking up his clothes from where he'd thrown them the night before, as he changes back into them he watched her wash herself from the bowl of water on a nearby table the robe falling of one of her shoulders. "Are we really going to do this every morning?" She asks not looking round, she can't hide the smile from her face though there is something about feeling Hiccup's eye's on her that she could never get sick of. 

"For the rest of my life I'm never going to stop wondering how I managed to get a goddess as my wife" Astrid look's over her shoulder at him giving him a flirtatious look. "You'd do anything for your goddess wouldn't you?" She asks. "Anything you ask of me" He replies throwing his tunic back onto the bed. "Then get that shirt on & get downstairs, you can make breakfast"    

Hiccup shacks his head & smiles as he picks his tunic up & puts it over his head, he then walks over to where Astrid is getting dressed & he puts one arm round her waist & pulls her closer to him. "As you wish mi-lady He whispers in her ear before letting her go, he then heads out of the room leaving Astrid to finish getting changed with the feeling of his breath & fingers on her skin still lingering.    

Astrid's parent's Asmund & Magnhiled, are just coming through the door after doing the night watch when Hiccup walks down the stairs, there would have been a time he would have been horrified to realize his future in-laws had caught him coming down from their daughter's room early in the morning but after a while & knowing they had rather relaxed attitude to their daughter's night time activities with their Chief had made the mornings he was there less embarrassing. 

"Morning" He says "I've been ordered to start breakfast" "Oh good" Asmund says. "I do love breakfast cooked by the Chief" "Astrid upstairs?" Magnhiled asks already heading for the stairs. "Yeah, She's just getting dressed" Hiccup replies, making a start on the breakfast. "Oh good, I need to talk to her" Magnhiled says as she heads up the stairs with Hiccup watching her go.   

Hiccup turns to Asmund who is sitting at the table pouring himself a mug of water. "Is everything ok?" Hiccup asks him. "Oh fine" Asmund says with a wave of his hand. "Magnhiled just realized last night how soon the wedding is & how little time is left before it's just the two of us in this house for good" "I guess it'll feel kind of empty huh?" Hiccup says. "Oh we'll get used to it It's not like we won't see her...she'll only be across the square hay your house is going to be the one filled with people & dragons now chief" "Actually I'm looking forward to it,although I like having my mother & Cloud jumper around since dad died the house has felt a little empty & quiet"    

Hiccup tacks a deep breath pushing back the tears that always threaten whenever he thought about his dad, It has only been two months since Stoic the Vast had died & Hiccup had become Chief & although things were getting easier, thinking about his dad still hart a lot, he still has nightmares about the events that had caused his death, even though they were getting less frequent. "So yeah" Hiccup continues, going back to preparing breakfast so his future father-in-law wouldn't notice if tears did start to fall. 

"Having Astrid, Stormfly & a bunch of baby dragons around the place is exactly what's needed" Hiccup says, as if on cue Toothless who'd spent the night sleeping in the dragon stables next to Astrid's house with Stormfly, comes rushing in from the back door followed by six baby dragons that the pure black Toothless had fathered with Stormfly so had been named Night Nadders.

Their heads are more flat like a Night Fury, with the same green eyes Toothless has,they have the spiked crown at the back like Stormfly, jet black with yellow tips & the rest of their body's are more like Stormfly, more rounded with two legs, also jet black with colored streaks on their wings & on the spikes that run down their tails, two of the six are yellow, two red & the last two purple, the smallest of the babies, a yellow streaked one that had been named after Hiccup, goes running to the Chief's side, as the others go running around the basket of fish, waiting for their breakfast, Toothless tries to keep them in line while Stormfly appears at the back door. 

"Are you really sure you want all this chaos in the mornings?" Asmund asks, getting up to give the dragons their breakfast. "Admit it, a part of you will miss this when it's over" Hiccup says putting a pot on the fire to start cooking, Asmund just laughs as he tosses fish to Stormfly & then one to dragon Hiccup. "We'll see about that when it happens" He says closing the basket before Toothless caches another fish.    

up in Astrid's bedroom Astrid has just put her tunic on when her mother knocks on the door, Astrid lets her in before going to get her skirt from where she'd left it the night before. "I just wanted to see how you were" Magnhiled says as she closes the bedroom door behind her. "I'm fine mum" Astrid says putting the skirt on over her leggings. "I've got a lot to get done though, I want to start on the dress today" "Do you want any help?" "I guess I could use some, I want it to be perfect"    

Astrid smiles knowing her mother is right, her life might not have gone the way she always thought when Bark fought dragons but she wouldn't want her life now to be any other way.

Outside

After breakfast Hiccup heads home to get a fresh change of clothes before he starts his Chief duties, while Astrid heads to the dragon academy with Stormfly & the baby dragons, Fishlegs & Volka are already there with their dragons Metlug & Cloud jumper by the time she gets there.
