Snotlowt's & twin's punishment

The academe 

The next day Hiccup is surprised to see Snotlowt & the twins in the academy when he fly's in on Toothless first thing in the morning, they look half asleep & extremely hung-over but they are there. "& there was me thinking I was going to have to drag you out of your beds" Hiccup says climbing off Toothless & switching his leg from flight mode to walk mode. 

"Gobber made sure we were up" Snotlowt groans. "Good, we should get started then, you know where the cleaning stuff is, I want this place looking pristine by the time classes start, you'll have my mother, Fishlegs & Astrid supervising when they arrive" "Why do we have to do this?" Ruffnut moans. "Because you caused it, & don't forget to do the stables, we released a few rehabilitated dragons yesterday & they haven't been cleaned out yet" Hiccup says seriously "Yes Chief" Snotlowt & the twins say as clearly as possible. 

Hiccup heads back to Toothless, pleased to hear Snotlowt & the twins starting to get to work behind him, they are already pulling up Deadly Nadder spikes from the wall & ground when Hiccup climes back on Toothless. "That went better than expected," Hiccup says. "Hopefully this won't end in disaster" Toothless makes a sound of agreement before taking off.

Food store house

There were a few jobs Hiccup needed to get through before he could make a start on Astrid's mourning gift & finish off things for the house, the first thing was to cheek the food stores which are gathering more food than normal in readiness for the wedding feast, Bucket & Mulch were already at the store house when Hiccup arrives, staking up barrels of food they'd been busy preserving the day before. 

"How's it going?" Hiccup asks climbing of Toothless. "The store house is nearly full" Mulch replies. "It'll be one heck of a feast for the wedding" "Well it has to be the best for the Chief," Bucket says "Hopefully nothing will go wrong that'll destroy all the wedding" "Oh don't say that, now you've said that there'll be a misbehaving dragon coming alone at some point in the week & will burn the whole place down" Mulch says. "Don't worry, Toothless will keep any dragons misbehaving away from the store-house, Hiccup says "& the surrounding area, I really don't want to be dealing with burning buildings at any time this week either" Hiccup then says his goodbyes & climbs back onto Toothless, flying off again to get the rest of his to-do list done before he can start the one thing he is looking forward to doing.    

The academy 

Astrid is amazed to see just how much Snotlowt & the twins had cleaned up when she arrived, the stables had been cleaned out & all the spikes that had been in the walls or the ground were now staked up against one wall ready to be taken away to be used for other things, now Snotlowt & the twins are busy giving the inside of the stables a scrub down so they were properly clean for when they were needed again.    

"Wow, I'm impressed" Astrid says climbing off of Stormfly. "It amazed me too when I arrived" Volka says from where she is standing with Cloud jumper, the baby dragons go rushing to her side for some attention & Stormfly follows, the dragons seem to be over the ordeal Snotlowt & the twins had caused the night before which was lucky for all of them as it meant they word not freak out & cause any more mess that day, If Snotlowt & the twins behaved themselves. 

"Can we class this as are punishment over so we can go home & back to sleep?" Ruffnut asks. "No" Astrid replies. "Not until the stables are all properly cleaned, I want them spotless" Snotlowt & the twins groan & go back to work, maybe if they got it over with quickly they could get back to bed & stay there for the rest of the day.

They know Astrid is watching them waiting for the moment she was satisfied they weren't going to stop until it was done, Fishlegs arrives by the time Astrid takes her eyes off the three Vikings joining Volka by the wall to go over the lesson plans for the day. 

"Wow I didn't expect this place to be as clean as it is" Fishlegs says climbing off of Meatlug. "Me neither" Astrid replies. "They might be finished before lunch" "I kind of hope not" Fishlegs says.    

"Why? It's not like we'll end up causing trouble" Snotlowt argues. "I was drunk & when I'm done here I'm going for a bath & a nap" "Same here" Tuffnut says. "Yeah, you won't see us until tomorrow" Ruffnut ads. "We'll be too busy sleeping" "Right now that is fine by us" Astrid says before going back to the sheets of paper with the lesson planes on, It was obvious she was still mad at them for the night before so Snotlowt & the twins decide it is safer if they just shut up & got on before Astrid decided to punish them in her own way.  

The forge  

Hiccup arrives at the forge mid-afternoon, where Gobber is making saddles, while his new apprentice is doing weapon maintenance & Grump is asleep by the furnace so Hiccup has to step over Grump to get deeper into the forge. "Here to help us get these orders finished?" Gobber asks. "I wish I could say that" Hiccup replies. "But I've got Astrid's morning gift to work on" "Oh of course you'd better get started not much time left" Gobber replies. "I know & I still need to check on the now furniture & get that finished" 

"Not easy being chief & planning a wedding too" Gobber says. "Just having to do one of them isn't easy but both of them is harder" Hiccup goes to get some tools together to start working. "But it'll be worth it" He continues. "To finally have Astrid as my wife I can't think of anything better"    

Hiccup leans against the work-bench day dreaming about his life after the wedding until Gobber gives him a little push to bring him back down to earth. "You shod be getting on" Gobber says. "The sooner you start the more you'll get done before dinner & I'll be making sure you take a break to eat" "You always do" Hiccup replies before he goes back to gathering tools, he sets them down on another workbench & lays out the plans for the winning design next to the box so he can finally get started.
