Chapter 23 "Sorry (2)"

You stared at him for a long while before he pulled you in for a warm hug.

It took you long seconds to get back to your senses and you pushed him away.

"... What.." you uttured in shock.

"I'm sorry.." his words trembled.
"Wh-Why did you do that?! Don't you know that you're taken?!" You softly chided him.

"I'm sorry.." His eyes welled up with glistening tears.

"What the heck are you sorry for?! Tell me!!" You yelled, shaking his shoulders.

"I'm sorry I got mad at you, I'm so sorry that I left you. I never wanted to do it but in the end that's how it all went.. I felt miserable everytime I was alone because I didn't have you as my friend.. I'm sorry that I didn't take your feelings into account and just did alot of stupid things, inpulsively..

I'm sorry..

..That I couldn't be a good person for you."

That moment, tears trickled down his cheeks. He pulled you in for a hug and cried in your arms.

Your eyes became a little wattery as well.

"It's okay.." you softly said in his ear, "Shh.."

You painstakingly tried to calm him down.

He pulled away from the hug and stared into your eyes.

"I'm.. so sorry y/n.." He said, with hiccups in between.

"Yah, stop saying sorry because now I feel sorry. Aren't I the one who's supposed to cry like how you are right now?"  You felt a tear roll down your cheek.

".. I know.." he mumbled as he wiped a tear off his face.

You both slowly got up from the ground and started walking home..

"Oh yeah.. y/n.."
"Y-yes?"
"I'm sorry that I did that.."

You felt your cheeks getting hot.
"Uh.. t-that was very sudden you know.."

"Yeah, heh, I think I must've gone crazy or something.."

You slowly pulled out your lighter from your pocket.

"You don't actually believe in this stuff anymore, do you?" You asked, holding the lighter.

"..Not so much. Why, do you?"
"Kinda. You made me so superstitious, aesaekki."

He laughed. "Superstition or not, at least my wish did come true."

You looked away and secretly smiled to yourself.

".. So what are you gonna do about Yeonmi?"
"I'm going to have to confront her.. I know that I don't love her alot but she was my first girlfriend.."

You chuckled. "Your first? That's hard to believe."

"I know, I am good looking anyway." He smirked and you rolled your eyes.

"Yeonmi was my first but she isn't my last."

You stared at him awkwardly. "You sound like some sort of playboy." You stated.

"Haha, yeah.."

And the walk home went on with chatters.

The next day, Jungkook POV

"Jungkook!" Namjoon called.
"Yeah, hyung?"
"Do you mind if you could go grocery shopping with Jin today? I'm busy.."

I stared at him. "Are you saying that I'm your replacement?"
"Ah, just for grocery shopping."

I nodded, sighed and then went to school.

I saw Y/n at her locker and when this time, she didn't ignore me as I greeted her.

"Y/n, the project is due tomorrow... should we practice?"
"Sure, we could.. let's get to class."

I was looking down at my phone texting Jimin hyung as we headed to class.

Suddenly. A hand stopped me from walking.

Y/n' arm was holding me back and as I looked at her face, it was frozen in a shocked manner.

I then looked to what she was looking at.

...

W-What..?
