the process begins part II

Michael's point of view

Before I took a portal back to domino I stabilized Elizabeth as much as I could, but Nefarion and that girl seriously kicked the crap out of her. The way to help her is to come here to the lagoon of the Water Dragon. Legend states the spirit of the water dragon still lives here I just hope it's true. If not, there is a woman who lives near this lagoon with experience of healing. I saw the elderly woman come out of the forest "Michael and Alexstrasza what brings you here my friends?" the woman named Hana asked until she saw injured Elizabeth in my arms groaning in pain and her expression turned into worry. "Oh my, the poor girl. Set her down in the water quickly." Hana suggested as I set Elizabeth down in the water. Then her twisted expression and her quick breathing now slow and relaxed and the grip she has on my hand relaxed as well. "Hana, how is she?" Alexstrasza asked helping Hana in checking on Elizabeth. "Her internal organs are intact, but she has taken a serious beating.... physically her wounds will heal," Hana responded making me breathe a sigh of relief. "Interesting it seems her energy now is dormant but its twisting, changing her from very deep inside. Can you tell me more about this phenomenon?" Hana questioned us as I cleaned the blood off Elizabeth's face. "Elizabeth is starting her re-birthing process." She has expelled much of her energy to start this process, then she will notice her essence is changing. Hana, I was hoping you can help her through the transformation because it can and will get difficult when her powers reawaken." Alexstrasza explained then I saw her move slightly and groan tiredly.

Elizabeth's point of view

I open my eyes with my head pounding painfully. I checked my surroundings and notice I'm in a body of water and in a black dress gown. "wh....where am I?" I croaked with my throat and mouth dry. "Elizabeth thank goodness." Michael sighed holding me close. I moved to get up, but everything hurt to even move to get out of the water. "Elizabeth don't move, just rest." The woman stopped me by holding my left hand and putting herbal tea in my right. "My name is Hana, and here this will help with the headache you are in domino this lake is a place of healing. Very few attacked by Nefarion lived to tell the tale, you were lucky. " The woman told me unfortunately as relaxing as this water is I can't afford to rest with Nefarion free and running a mock. "That's because Michael and Alexstrasza saved me. I can't afford to rest now that Nefarian is free...I..." I replied as I tried to get out of the water, but Hana stopped me. "I agree but your recovery is more important so please let us help you Elizabeth," Michael begged me while looked into my eyes the Hana and Alexstrasza took the hint that I wanted to talk to him alone. "Michael I'm a mess I couldn't use my power when I needed it the most no matter how hard I tried, now the world could possibly be in danger. Michael, I can't go through this alone. I need you, please help me through this." I sobbed in his arms for comfort I needed him now more than ever. "Elizabeth, I'm here and will always be here but right now you need to rest here and recover." Michael whispered in my ear holding me close. "thank you, Michael, I will remember that." I thanked him as tears streamed down my face.

a few weeks later

my recovery was hard because I was able to smell Nefarion out there somewhere. Today Michael and I were training again, but this time I am learning how to air bend. It wasn't easy at first, but nothing ever is at all. After a long training session with Michael I went to speak to Hana in the water. "what's happening to me? Everything I learned from Michael, I have pushed beyond to new heights and adapted. I always pushed beyond my limits but I feel like my powers have weakened, and I don't know why." I explained to her with frustration while running my hands through my hair and splashed the water. "Actually, it's the opposite of what you say," Hana reassured me, but I was still unsure. "What do you mean?" I asked scared but wanting answers. "Though true your surface power was diminished when you arrived here, and as you recovered your essence was and is twisting and changing you from deep inside of you. The energy you expelled was only the first step in your rebirth I will help you through this process Elizabeth. You will experience waves of pain throughout your body starting from your stomach and burn throughout your body out your skin. As you have evolved your powers you will evolve as well." Hana elaborated, well no pain no gain I guess. "Where did the rest of my power go?" I asked confused by everything that is going on. "Close your eyes, clear your mind and look deep inside yourself and you will find it." She explained then I closed my eyes and took deep breaths and relaxed completely then I find myself floating in the cave from my dream.
