Painful Gain

Alexstrasza's point of view

Somewhere far away dragons are awakened from a long slumber with a powerful wave of energy. "my friends I sense powerful energy from a faraway realm." I told dragon told 4 other dragons. "Ah, I sense it as well from the realm of Domino." another dragon speaks up as waves of energy get longer and more intense. The dragons watch water bubbling inside the pulsing chrysalis. The being slowly starts moving inside it while her eyes slightly open and start to change into dragon eyes and she moves as a way of reacting the energy burning through her. "As I renounce my title the new dragon queen will rise as her transformation continues." I say while watching Elizabeth's new energy flowing through her and she is moving around more and responding to the way her body is starting to change.

Micheal's point of view

The next morning after Elizabeth enters that chrysalis I never left that lake shore at all I camping out on the beach by the lake where Elizabeth is resting. Suddenly I was woken up by a pulse of heat that turns to a hot burst from Elizabeth which felt different. "Whoa... did you feel that her energy is changing?" I asked for anyone listening. "I do Michael, her transformation." Hannah answers because I didn't see, sense, or hear Alexstrasza because she might have left in the night. "Do you know when she will wake up?"I asked Hannah desperate for answers. "You must not rush her she will wake when she is ready. Alexstrasa explained to me of Elizabeth's rebirth so she will be in the chrysalis for a while." Hannah replies placing a hand on my shoulder. I look back down in the water at Elizabeth as the pulse gets stronger little by little. "You can talk to her If that is your next question." she says with a smile as she gives me some space. I stare back down at Elizabeth as I stepped into the water to get close to her. "Good morning my love I'm glad you resting well." I greeted as I felt the pulse from Elizabeth get stronger and more intense. As a result, I was watching for any sign of movement from and she did move a little. When this occurs Then I saw her fingers and hands on her chest and her legs move a little. Later her eyes scrunch in discomfort then she came to the surface of the cocoon she was sealed in and placed her hands on it. Then I see her wings stretched fully and they start growing bigger and the chrysalis grows in size to accommodate her wings and she hugged her ribs and her expression changed in response to being in pain inside the chrysalis. Suddenly vines grew around her as if they helping her. Even though she is unconscious Elizabeth's wings growing to a impressive span while the water bubbled around her. Meanwhile I see her hair growing and horns growing from her head as well. "Hannah come here you gotta see this Elizabeth is transforming!" I called out to Hannah not taking my eyes off of Elizabeth as her skin was slowly changing to match her purple dragon wings. Later Hannah came out with a trey of food and a look of amazement. "Elizabeth told me her power was changing her from the inside out. A transformation of this magnitude is unheard of yet I am viewing it before my eyes." Hannah told me as her skin was molding dragon scales. "I remember Elizabeth telling something like this before got her dragon wings." I thought as I see Elizabeth moved to a different position to aid in the change effecting the lower back to grow a tail. Which whipped around while it grew. She moved and thrashed around a lot "Elizabeth you need to try and relax and focus your making the pain worse." I tell her hoping she would listen. Meanwhile her legs and feet were changing while her tail was growing and whipping around. I see her open her eyes see her regain consciousness hugging herself in pain. Before thick vines grow inside the chrysalis and wrap tight around her changing legs waist and growing tail relieving the pressure. "Come on Elizabeth bear through this. I'm here with you." I tell her placing my hands on the chrysalis. Then her eyes open and she placed her hands on the wall of the chrysalis gazing in my eyes while scales were molding on her skin and her wings still growing. She looked sad and tired I looked deeper into her eyes and I sensed sadness and exhaustion. The changes were still taking place as she looked at me. "Are the changes painful?" I asked her hoping she could respond. She nods yes before expression changed to concentration. While her skin, muscles and bones were changing to grow her tale and legs "Good Elizabeth, try to relax just like that." I tell her and I open my senses to try and hear Elizabeth. I was able hear her groaning and later turns to bloodcurdling screams in pain while being able to hear her skin muscle and bone twisting. "Try and breathe if you can. I know you're in a lot of pain right now just concentrate on me." I called out to her i heard her start breathing somehow even though she is under water it must be a way of her being sustained in there. "michael....it.....it hurts." I heard her mental voice and I sensed sadness in her voice. "What's hurting, your back?" I asked wanting answers. "Everything.....my whole body.....it hurts!" She managed tell me before I heard her scream a little but hold back while I heard her body twist and change. While her tail completed its growth, the change on her legs and feet were done. What I seeing was unbelievable. Elizabeth has a lot of dragon features but a lot of her human features too. "Hannah when is she's coming out there?" I asked wanting to see Elizabeth and hold her close. "Her transformation is complete but she will need to time to heal and recover." Hannah tells me and she does have a point. I watched her stretch out her wings and the transformation was changing her wings and making them stronger. Later I see stretch her wings as the change was complete. I see her eyes close like she is sleeping. I felt her emotions she was calm and exhausted. "Rest Elizabeth Im here." instinctively hoping she her me. I....I know. she weakliy responds in my mind before our mental connection eas broken. I sensed she was alive .....very much alive by telling of how much power shes gained and is gaining.

Elizabeth's Point of View

I felt it all, my bones shifting out of place and back again, the bubbles around me. My skin itching and muscles burning. stretching and moving that sent my entire body to an indescribable pain. The pain started with my wings felt like were getting stronger. When I first got my new wings I knew something deep inside of me was changing too. I was recovering from my wings happened I heard voice calling out to me. The voice belonged to a dragon and she said my powers and body were changing. I definitely was right i had to move around to give my body some relief because this transformation sucked and hurt like a son of a bitch. I did pass out a few times but while I was unconscious I felt the changes clearly inside and out the power that surged during my transformation felt different and much stronger. I can tell something is different and I barely feel human anymore. But one thing I knew without doubt in my head Micheal was there with me. I remember seeing him on the beach of the lake we are at my senses must have expanded from my transformation, because I was able to hear his voice clearly from where I am, under water and inside a cocoon. He asked me if the changes were painful and I nodded yes. Then the pain stopped and sense something about this water but I still felt the changes going on inside my body. "There's energy here, I can feel it flowing through me and Its warm and gentle." I thought while I relax completely and welcome this energy and let a very deep sleep take me. Then I found myself floating over the lake where I was inside of a chrysalis my wings were being effected by the change and getting stronger. My body looked dragon-like, but my eyes were closed and I was sleeping. The Chrysalis was glowing and its light was pulsing my audible heartbeat. The water was bubbling gently. The energy inside it was warm and comforting. "Its me, I have changed but I didn't know it was be this much. The energy inside the chrysalis feels warm. The pain in my body is gone. I'm healing in there I feel the energy healing my spirit." I thought to myself then I looked over at Michael looking concerned I wanted to touch him but I couldn't because I was a spirit. "Micheal I love you so much you helped me so much, you saved my life and helped get stronger and more confident in myself. Thank you so much and I'll see you soon." I say to Michael hoping he could hear me. I closed my eyes and I felt my mind was pulled right back into my body.
