Alex and her group had left Bridget's camping ground. They bid their goodbyes to each other. Amora had given Christopher a subtle rejection, and Esther gave Carolina a farewell hug. Bridget pointed out that Dextor had once spoken about the cave. Unfortunately for the girls, he set his camp near the cavern to prevent anyone from reaching the treasures.

Using her machete, the leader continued to slash the plants that blocked her view. Humidity began to cling onto her soft skin, making her feel even filthier than she did last time. She wished she could go back to the waterfall.

Scarlet, who pulled her now-straight, jet-black hair into a high ponytail, spoke while pushing away the shamrock-colored plants, "Guys-" she squealed when a leaf slapped her newly-washed face, "I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

The girls kept marching, but listened to their friend's speech.

"I know I'm incredibly conceited and beautiful, but now I feel your pain. The stupid guy I fought with was so arrogant and annoying! He thought he was the most handsomest man in the entire world!" she complained furiously.

Esther rolled her pretty eyes and sarcastically commented, "Sounds like someone I know."

The archer made a low growling noise at Esther. "Shut the fuck up, will you? I'm trying to be serious here."

Amora, who followed along behind Scarlet, added in her usual dead tone, "We don't need an apology. It won't make any difference."

Alex intercepted, "Exactly, now less talking and more moving."

The light brown-eyed girl groaned in annoyance. "Not you too, Alex!"
