(Abigail's pov)
I just got off the phone after a couple hours announcing our engagement and every one was super happy as was I. I was super excited.
I drove to meet my parents while Kari was at practice. I couldn't wait to see Cat again. I walked into the Taco Bell and smiled when I saw my daughter running at me. "Mommy!" she exclaimed excited. I picked her up in my arms as she hugged me tightly. "I missed you," I told her kissing her. "I missed you to mommy," she said smiling. I ordered a soft taco and then sat down across my parents.
"I want to see the ring," my mom exclaimed smiling brightly. I showed her the beautiful ring. "Wow it's beautiful," my mom said and my dad just smiled. "It looks great," my dad complimented making me smile.
"It was great seeing you guys again," I said hugging my mom and dad. "We were glad to watch Cat. Congratulations on the engagement again. Kari's a great guy," my dad said smiling.
I drove Cat and myself home and it wasn't to horrible of a drive. I walked in carrying Cats suitcase as she ran into the house. "Daddy!" Cat exclaimed as he picked up my daughter and hugged her close to him. "I missed you daddy!" Cat exclaimed smiling. "I missed you to Cat," he said smiling. I smiled at the cute moment.
"How about we stay in for dinner and watch a bunch of movies?" Kari asked smiling. "Sounds good for me. Hamburger helper okay?" I questioned. "Sounds delicious," Kari said smiling.
I finished the food and put everyone's in a bowl. We walked into the Basement to watch a movie. "What are we watching?" I questioned. "Cats chosen Cinderella," Kari said smiling. I was always okay with Disney movies.
We finished the movies. We ended up watching Cinderella, Cars, and Beauty and the Beast. Kari carried Cat up stairs while I cleaned up our mess. I was doing the dishes when my phone started ringing. I dried my hands quickly and looked who was calling me to see Ollis face on my screen. I was confused but, answered the phone nonetheless.
"Hello?" I questioned.
"Abigail! Hey um Addison's in labor! She told me to call you and ya. I've got to go now!" Olli rushed. I then heard the phone click signaling Olli ended the phone call.
I sat there a minute shocked and then it dawned on me. My sisters in labor! "Kari! Come here!" I yelled. Kari ran down the stairs looking panicked. "What's wrong?" Kari asked quickly looking around. "My sisters going into labor!" I exclaimed. "Well we do play pittsburgh in three days so we can just go up early. Get your things packed and ill pack Cats," he told me.
I ran upstairs and packed enough for four days. I then packed Karis suitcase. I didn't change out of my sweats because we were gonna be on a plane for a couple hours.
We arrived at the fairly empty airport. We got tickets and I carried my sleeping daughter. "I'm sorry," I apologized to Kari as we boarded the plane. "Babe you can't do anything about your sister having the baby so no need to be sorry," Kari told me smiling. I smiled back.
I was being shaken. Oh my god the plane is going to crash! My eyes shot open despite the tiredness still being within my head and body. I looked over to see it was just Kari. "We're here," Kari whispered. I nodded and picked up my sleeping daughter. It was currently 2 am so I was beyond tired.
We drove through the sleeping city and to a Best Western hotel. I put Cat to bed. "Babe stay here and get sleep. I'll head to the hospital," I yawned telling Kari. "You sure sweetie you seem tired?" Kari asked wrapping his arms around my waist. "Ill be fine babe. Get some rest," I told him pecking his lips. "Okay babe I love you!" Kari said kissing me longer. I pulled away from him. "Love you too baby," I slapped his butt and then was off to the hospital.
I arrived at the hospital and went to the waiting room. "I'm here to see my sister Addie Maatta," I told the lady at the front desk. "Ah yes she's now excepting visitors," the lady handed me a badge and a sticky note with her room number.
207? no.
213? No.
215? no.
225? No
233! Finally!
I walked in to see Addison laying there smiling and Olli holding a little baby wrapped in a blue blanket. Kirsten and josh were in the room already. "Hey guys," I said making myself known. "Hey abigail," Addison said smiling a tired smile. "Hey mom and dad are headed this way," I told her. "Want to hold him?" Olli asked smiling a big bright smile the same he did for all of his three kids. "I'd love to," I said smiling.
I held the baby in my hands. "I'm your aunt Abigail," I told him softly as he was sleeping. My parents came in the room soon after and held baby Caleb. "Alright it's time to let the mom and baby rest. Visiting hours are over but, dad you can stay," the nurse said pointing at Olli. Olli held baby Caleb and kissed him and them Addison kissed him before the nurse took him away. I said goodnight to my family and drove back to the hotel. Before I got out of the car my phone rang.
"Hello?" I questioned.
"Hey Abigail it's wyatt. I'm coming to pittsburgh tomorrow with Macy," my brother said. Macy was his girlfriend soon to be wife.
"Addison will be glad to see you so will mom and dad. Caleb is adorable!" I told him yawning.
"Alright well you seem tired night," Wyatt said hanging up.
I smiled and then got out of the car smiling the whole way up. I walked into the room at 3:45 am to see Kari sitting there on his phone. "Babe why are you still up?" I whispered climbing in bed beside him. "one I congratulated your sister on twitter and Instagram and two I wanted to make sure you got here safe," he told me kissing me sweetly. "Caleb was adorable. I want to have more kids one day," I told him quietly glancing back at Cat. "We will baby. We will," he said kissing me. I smiled at the thought. "My brother and his fiancé are coming tomorrow," I said smiling. "Awesome. What time was Caleb born at?" Kari questioned. "February 10 at 12:37 am," I said smiling.
Kari and I cuddled up easily falling asleep.
