We kept walking, and walking until we reached an oddly familiar field of grass. We slowly started to grow silent as the sun started to set. The only noise coming from the trees moving in the wind and the occasional chirp of a bird. As the sky became a pretty shade of orange, red and pink the temperature started to drop along with it. And of course I didn't bring a jacket, I huffed at myself. So I just crossed my arms and kept walking.

The area seemed too familiar. The more my mind tried to work it out, the faster my heart started to race. And then my heart stopped. I knew exactly where we were. And so did he.

We reached the middle of the field and stopped to watch the sky change its colors. But from the corner of my eye I saw him go to sit down in the grass, so I did the same. My eyes trailed down to the dimly lit shrub, and all of a sudden I felt something being rapped around my shoulders. Rob was giving me his jacket. I gave him a light 'thank you' smile and put my arms through the sleeves.

As a heavy set of wind came through blowing my hair to the side, I laid down resting my head next to a half visible little yellow flower. Rob glanced at me next to him and laid down as well.

The whole seen felt like I had traveled back in time.
Just the two of us, lying in the tall grass, like we're the only people left in the world. And I was happy. But I knew what had came next. So I sat up. Probably too quickly. "What's wrong?" He asked in almost a whisper. I rapped my arms around my legs hugging them to my chest. And tried my best to lie, "It's nothing". All I heard was a sign, followed by a couple seconds of silence. "Hey" he whispered, grabbing my attention. I turned my head back to look at him, and he held out his hand. Probably to help him up. So I took ahold of his hand. But right as I was ready to pull him, he beat me to it. And without warning, his lips came crashing into mine.
At first I was in shock. My mind was trying to think, but it didn't seem to be working. And that's when I stopped trying. Because I realized...this is what I wanted. So I fell right into the kiss, running my hand through his ginger curls, and the other still holding his.

We slowly pulled away in silence. And I was ready for him to leave...but he didn't. Instead he smiled, and held me close. And for the rest of the evening we stayed like that lying in the grass until the sun went away. Then we made our way back home.
