[idk if the music really goes with the chapter but whatever I just like this song]-Time skip to California shows-
We're staying at his nana and papas house after he had just had his San Francisco show. It was a long drive, but we had finally made it.
Meeting his nana and papa was the part I was nervous for. But they were absolute sweet hearts, and loved that me and Rob were together.
And seeing they're reaction on his new and first real tattoos was hilarious. They were all wide eyed at first, but ended up loving them and the cute meanings behind them.
But the best part was watching they're reactions on videos from the SF show. His nana getting all emotional and his papa calling him a "rock star". Which he honestly was.
After all that shenanigans I left them alone to reconnect, and decided to finish bringing some bags in and maybe call my mum to say hi.
Once I had my stuff and reached the room his nana said I'd be staying in, I realized all of Robins stuff was in there too. I almost dropped my items as my face went a shade of red. And I didn't know why.
That was a lie. I did know why. It's because we've never actually shared the same bed before. Even though we've been together for almost a month. The idea still made me blush.
Whatever. For now I tried my best to shake it off and finish what I was doing.
When I was done calling my mum, Rob walked in and sat down on the edge of the bed next to me. I leaned against his shoulder and exhaled deeply. I was still tired from the ride here, and I could tell he was too as he did the same.
We just stared out the window in silence for who knows how long. Almost like we were in another dimension. Or just far far away from this earth. That was something we had in common. And a good thing too. Because if not, one of us would probably start to get annoyed at the other for it.
Once I snapped back I thought he was asleep, with the weight of his head resting on mine. But when I tried glancing up at the slightest, I could just barely make out the movement of his fair lashes behind his glasses.
I followed my focus back towards the window, and noticed there was a pool in the backyard. It was pretty big too.
"They have a nice pool" I muttered all of a sudden. Causing him to slightly flinch, as I had just corruptly brought him back from where ever the heck he was.
"Wha-oh, yeah. It's quite nice. Pretty actually" he said, "Wanna go sit out there?"
I said, "Sure, why not". And we got up making our way outside, hand in hand.
As we passed the other adults, I noticed his dad try and secretly give him a thumbs up. Which obviously ended up failing since I saw. But I tried my best not to burst a chuckle and make it obvious I did.
Probably didn't help that Robins face looked like a tomato. But we finally got outside and sat by the edge of the pool, dipping just our feet in. The water felt nice, especially since it was hotter than hell itself outside (it really is tho help x~x).
Then something came to mind, "I don't think I've ever actually seen swim before".
I glanced over at him swishing the water around with his feet, "Yeah probably not. It's not really my thing".
"Why?" I asked generally curious.
"I don't know. I guess I'm just insecure about my body" she shrugged.
Now I felt bad. All I wanted to do was hug him. Until I realized I already was.
"You don't need to be"
"Maybe sometime. In the future" and he rapped his arms around me, a smile on my face.
That smile slowly turned into a smirk.
I casually told him I was gonna go inside real quick and get a drink. But as I got up, I quickly snuck behind him and pushed him in making a small splash. And I couldn't help but laugh at my childness.
But in the midst, I was to busy to notice him turn around and chuckle, "Oh that's it".
By then it was too late. He had grab ahold of my ankles and pulled me in as I gasped. I felt the cool water hit me and it actually felt great so I was more relieved than upset. And of course he had his laugh, which I followed and jumped on his back trying to pull him under, which didn't work at all.
Afterwards we stood there once again in silence, in the chest deep water. A smile creeping on both of our faces, that were only about a foot away from each other. Until he came closer and hovered above me. He held my hands from under the water, and closed whatever space between us that was left. It felt like no matter how many times we have, it always feels like the first.
We heard the back door open and we quickly pulled away, in complete blush.
Thankfully it was no one, and just them opening the door to let the dogs out.
We slowly turned back to each other, and ended in a chuckle of relief. Though my cheeks still felt hot. Maybe it was the heat. Maybe it wasn't.
After we got out and dried, we changed into our pajamas and had a nice dinner.
And of course for the part I had been waiting for all day, bed time.
I brushed my teeth and came out of the bathroom walking over to my side of the bed. Noticing Robin already tucked in and pretty sure asleep. I lifted the sheets and slid in making myself comfortable.
My back was facing him when I all of a sudden felt him place his hand on my shoulder. So I turned around to see his tired face smile at me. It's not very often I see him with no glasses. His brown eyes not hiding behind his frames, and open for me to take in.
I scooted closer to where is chin rested right above my head. And slowly right before I was out, I felt him place a kiss on my forehead.
Oof I sorta cringed reading back throughout this whole chapter. But to be fair I wrote most of it at like 1am so..
At least it's a long chapter (over 1000 words jeez)
Thank u for 5k btw!<3
And hEy today's the day I see him!! Pray for me and my awkwardness O—o bai-Author
