Beach Day

Liv's POV

I woke up to feel Colby's arms wrapped around me. I turned over to look at Colby as he sleeps. He's so cute. Suddenly his eyes flutter open. "Good morning gorgeous." He says then he kisses my nose. "Good morning." I say with a huge smile on my face. "Why are you so happy this morning?" Colby asks. "Because we are going to the beach!" I said. "And I love the beach!" Today me, Colby, Sam and Kat were going to the beach for the day. Ever since I was a kid I've always loved the beach. I've always loved the sunshine and the sand. We finally got out of bed and I started getting ready. I put on a black bikini and then shorts and a tank top. 

"Who's ready for the beach bitches!!" I yelled when I went down stairs and saw Sam, Kat and Colby in the kitchen. "I am!!" Kat yelled back. Sam and Colby laughed at our silliness. We then got into Colby's car and drove to the beach. We jammed out to music on our way. Sam and Kat were in the back with Colby and I in the front. About half way through the car ride Sam and Kat fell asleep. I've always loved long car rides, there's just something so calming about driving for a long time. I nodded my head to the music as we drove. 

"We're here." Colby said when we finally got to the beach. Sam and Kat were awake now. I smelled the salty air as we all pilled out of the car, I couldn't help but smile. "Come on!" I say as I grab Colby's arm and pull him towards the ocean. I felt the cold water on my feet as we reached the ocean. I smiled and looked out across the sea. "God I love the beach." I said. "And I love you" Colby said. I looked up at him to find him already looking down at me. "You're so cheesy!" I laughed and pushed him lightly. 

A few hours later, Kat and I were lying on the sand getting a tan while Sam and Colby were goofing off somewhere. "You seem really happy today." Kat said. "Yeah, I am really happy today." I say. "I don't think I've seen you this happy." Kat said. "Well, ever since I was a kid I've always loved the beach. Me and Elton would run around on the sand for hours. There's just something about it that feels like home to me." I say. "Aww That's so cute." Kat says. "Hey Liv and Kat!" We heard Sam yell. We sat up and looked over in his direction. He asked if we wanted to go swimming with him and Colbs. We said yes and walked into the ocean. We swam for about an hour then got out. 

Once it go late we decided to go home. Kat and I sat in the back and Sam and Colby sat in the front. Kat fell asleep and put her head on my shoulder and I rested my head on hers and closed my eyes. I guess the boys thought we were both asleep because I heard them talking about us. "So you really love Liv?" Sam asked. "Love is an understatement. I can't even describe how much I love her. She's my everything, I don't think I could live with out her. She brings out the good in me. She makes me genuinely happy." Colby said. My heart literally melted. "I'm so happy for you man. I know these last few years have been really hard on you, but I feel like Liv has helped you out so much." Sam said. "She has, and that's why I'm so great full that she's in my life." Colby said. With those words I let myself drift off the sleep.
