"Oh Peri...... I-" Lapis spoke. She felt as if she didn't deserve someone as great as Peridot.
"Lapis. I know how you feel. To be left alone. To be abused. To be scared. To be trapped. When I was a kindergartener on homeworld, I got teased. A lot. It got to the point where the other Peridot's would manhandle me and treat me like I was some kind of... toy. Jasper was no better. I only treated you bad on the ship because I liked taking my own problems out on you. Secretly, I knew you were a good gem and I didn't want to do anything to you really. I just.... how do I say this.." Peridot began to blush an emerald green.
Lapis, still teary, urged Peridot on.
"Just say it." Lapis placed a gentle hand on Peridot's. They looked eachother in the eyes. "I.. I love you, Lapis. More that anything in the world. Our relationship started out rough, but then I got to know you. And you got to know——"
Lapis smacked her face against Peridot's, sharing a moment both of them never expected to share. Peridot looked at Lapis's eyes for a moment, realizing they were closed. She decided to do the same to make this moment a lot better.
"Me..." Peridot finished her sentence as the kiss broke. It wasn't so cliche where there was a string of saliva, but cliche enough for them. 😉
"Was that too soon...?" Lapis questioned a bit worryingly.
"NO!" Peridot sharply reassured. "Can we.... do it again?" Peridot shyly asked.
"Of course."
                       "Because I love you too."
