I woke up in the middle of the night. It wasn't just a small wake up, I didn't even feel tired anymore.. I decided to get up and go outside to look at the stars.
It was so pretty. The beach. The sky. The ocean. It gave me... us... a sense of moving on. Lapis had so many moments of trauma in her past, Peridot did too, her abuse and bullying... But as the waves crashed on and on, and as the wind blew my hair, I knew that there was no point dwelling on the past now. It was just us. Just Lapis and Peridot. Just the Crystal Gems. Just the Earth. Just... Me. I know it now. I know what to do now. I know who I am. I'm a Crystal Gem. I want to be this way. It's my choice. It's Lapis and Peridot's choice. I will fight for myself and this Earth, no matter how much it takes to unite Homeworld and us Crystal Gems together!

I wanted to unfuse for a moment.
"Yes, Peridot?" Lapis asked.
"Thank you for this. Thank you for coming back. I love you so much." Peridot stated.
"Oh, Peridot.. I love you too. As much as you do. That's the reason I came back. I love Earth and you." Lapis replied sweetly. They both knew what eachother were thinking, and fused together again.
