The Fight for Home

They walked down the road with all the others leading their horses. "This should be 'fun'." Cindy said. "Never had a night time horse ride." As she looked around and she was shocked to see people cheering for them a bit. Last time the Scouts left, there was no cheering, just the youth acting like they were heroes while the older people sneered.

"Not as fun as you might think." He said. "The closer we get to Shiganshina, the more hilly and rough terrain we will run into. We will have to take it on foot from there."

"And it being at night, it will take much longer even with the lights we have." A line began to form as the elevators began to take the Scouts and the horses up on top of the Wall. "But at least we are getting some where in the world. We can finally take BACK what we lost. You guys won Trost and now we can win Shiganshina."

That thought made Adriane smile. 'Win back Shiganshina...win back home.' He saw Eren, Mikasa and Armin going up. 'I wonder if they are thinking the same thing. Armin most likely, but Eren...' He knew that Eren was thinking about killing Rainer. "We will win."

On top of the Wall, all of the Scouts looked over the now orange fields. 'This is it.' He thought. 'One more push.'

"HEY SCOUTS!!" Someone yelled from below and everyone looked. Flegel Reeves, son of Dimo and the one who got the public back on the Scouts side, was yelling at them...with a crowd of people cheering for them all! "TAKE BACK WALL MARIA!! THE FUTURE OF MANKIND IS IN YOUR HANDS!!

Adriane was shocked. He had never seen this before, only the hate for the Scouts until Historia was crowned. He looked at his classmates who all were beaming and cheering. Well most of them were, Eren, Mikasa and Armin were like the older Scouts who were confused.

He joined the cheering, as did Cindy. "YOU CAN COUNT ON US!!!" They all yelled.

Then Erwin yelled and raised his left arm. Drawing a blade, he pointed to the plains. "COMMENCE THE FINAL OPERATION TO RETAKE WALL MARIA!!" They were taken down by the elevators and rode out.

After hours of riding and walking (with a lot of slipping on peoples butts), Shiganshina came into view. Though he had never seen it from outside the Wall, Adriane felt his heart skip. 'Home...'  The sun was just rising and the Walls seemed to glow. 'Never before would I think I would miss those Walls.'

After they rode their horses through the old outer gate town (while making sure no Titan was around), he reached the top of the Wall and looked down upon the ruined city. The wind lightly blew and tugged at his cape. Eren, Mikasa and Armin joined him as they all looked at their home. "We did it guys." He said. "We made it back."

Eren nodded. "Yeah, now to make it safe."

Armin looked around. "I don't see anything. So maybe..."

Adriane agreed. "You know, I always wanted to make this joke before." The three looked at him. He pointed to his old home. "I can see my house from here."

They all chuckled at the simple joke and once again looked. But only for a second before Levi yelled at them.

Eren, Mikasa and a few others ran off to seal the outer gate. Adriane and Cindy ran to their places. "I thought that they were going to be here." She looked around. "Where are they?"

"Yeah, I don't know." He looked around and worried. "Maybe...they ran off?"

She gave him the 'dream on' look. "So what do we do?"

"Wait for orders." He said. The flares from the other side flew into the sky. "So far...so good." The Titan light shone, and he saw the hardened body of Eren's Titan appear.
