Welcome to my story of self-discovery. Let me introduce myself real quick before I tell my story. Hello, my name is Brayden James Miles, I'm 17 years old and I just graduated from high school. I'm gay and very proud, if you don't like people who are not hetrosexual, please stop reading my story now.

I was adopted at birth by Hank and Morgan Miles. My adoptive father was a complete dick, he took it upon himself to 'beat the gay' out of me and for having my son, Archer, whom I actually gave birth too when I was barely 17 years old. I was rapped by a stranger on my way home from softball practice.

Hank used to beat my adoptive mum as well because he was just an angry alcholoic. He felt mum made me gay, he thought she babied me too much. She didn't make me gay, I was born this way. Hank's in prison for the abuse he put myself and mum through. One to many trips to the emergency room, sparked the interest of Child Protective Services, and after a time, he was sentenced to twenty five years in prison.

My mum died a month ago, two weeks after I graduated, so, I'm on my own. I lied about my age when Protective Services showed at the house, wanting to place me in a foster home for tw months until I turn 18 years. Yeah, not happening, so, I've sold anything I could obtain money for and I left my hometown of Fargo, North Dakota, for Ten Sleep, Wyoming, in my black Chevy Cavilir.

Now, you might be wondering why I'm heading to Wyoming, it's a very simple answer. Before mum died she gave me all the information and pictures she had about my biological family if I ever wanted to see if I could find them. Well, I figured why the hell not, I have nothing left in Fargo keeping me there, so I'm heading to Ten Sleep, Wyoming, the last known location of my biological parents.

Mum told me my biological mum didn't want to place me up for adoption but her parents made her since she was only 16 years old when she had me. So, I'm hoping that she still feels this way and would like to see me.

Currently Archer and I are about a hundred miles away from Ten Sleep, with my seven month old son sleeping in his car seat in the back seat. He is such a good baby, he only cries when he's hungry, has a messy diaper, or his teeth are bothering him. We should be in Ten Sleep no later than 7 p.m. if Archer sleeps his normal two hours for a nap.

By 6:30 p.m. Archer woke and demanded a diaper change and to be fed. Pulling off at the nearest exit I find a McDonald's to change him and feed him and myseld.

Smiling at Archer as I gently bounce him in my hold as I make my way intot he men's bathroom, he lets out a giggle. Quickly changing him out of his wet diaper and replacing it with a clean one, I button his onesie and pull his shorts back up before gently placing him on my right hip.

Standing in line to order food for myself, I softly talk to Archer to keep him entertained until it was finally my turn to order. Ordering a cheeseburger, a large fry and a large drink, I recieve my food a few minutes later, finally able to sit down with Archer in a high chair so I can feed him his two large jars of baby food and top it off with a a few of the soft fries for him and a bottle; while I eat my food and watch him with the fries and bottle.

Twenty minutes later, I've finished, I pack the trash onto the tray before gently picking Archer out of the high chair, grab his diaper bag and the tray. Placing the now empty tray on top of the garbage can with the others, we head back out to the car to make the last fifty miles of our trip.

I have a hotel room for a few days, with looking at an apartment and trailer tomorrow for a place for him and I to live, if I can find my biological parents and decided to stay.

Forty-five minutes and a few wrong turns later, I find the hotel that we're staying at. Checking in, with bags in hand on my shoulder that Archer is grasping, we ride the elevator up to the fourth floor, finding the room three down and to the right of the elevator.
