"Mom, how would you possibly know anything about this kid who randomly shows up at the house, with a baby?" Parker asks suspiciously.
"He's my oldest baby," she whispers as she intently studies my face, as she wipes the tears from her face.
"I have paperwork with me to prove what she and I said is correct, along with my driver's license," I tell Parker as I pull out my idenitification out of my wallet, handing it along with a mailla envelope with my information to the woman.
"Please come inside Brayden," the man says as the four of the back away after the woman took the items I handed her. They usher Archer and I into a beautiful living room right into a light and open (much like the living room) kitchen. The woman takes out all of the paperwork in the envelope with shaking hands, studing it all intently as he husband does the same over her shoulder.
"You really are the baby we gave up for adoption," she whispers staring at me with fresh tears pooling in her brown eyes.
"So you and he are truly Amy and Patrick Lang?" I hopefully ask looking between the two adults. They both grin before Amy launches herself at me, wrapping me and Archer in a warm, motherly hug, sniffeling.
Amy pulls away a few minutes later, staring intently at my son, who has his head buried in my neck, playing with my hair as he sucks his thumb. "And who is this cutie?" she asks softly running her finger over his chubb cheek.
Smiling down at Archer, I proudly reply, "This is my son, Archer James Miles."
"Is his mum with you?" Abby asks as she smiles gently at my son and I.
"No, his other parent is another male, I can concieve and carry children," I answer her honestly. I don't want to lie to to these people, they are my family after all and I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with them.
"You're a faggot and a freak and so is he," Parker sneers out looking at my son and I like we have the plauge as he backs a few steps away from me.
"My son isn't a freak, he's a sweet baby!" I defend hotly, great if my own younger brother is a homophob, who's to say the rest of them aren't?
Looking back at Amy and Patrick, I smile tiredly as I grab the envelope and my identification before saying, "Sorry for bothering you, I'll leave and won't bother any of you again." I turn to walk back to the front door.
As I reach for the door handle while softly crying and sniffeling. Guess I should have never came here; should have just picked somewhere to settle with my son that accepts gays and male pregnancies. As I turn the handle to open the door, there's a light touch on my elbow stopping me.
Turning back around in shock I see Amy with her hand on me and Abby right next to her. They both share the same sad expression as we can hear Patrick scolding Parker in the kitchen.
"Please don't leave, we are not homophobic jerks like Parker. No clue where he gets it from," Abby pleads.
Smiling at my little sister, I answer with, "It's okay, I'm used to being treated like that due to my sexuality and how Archer came to be."
"No, it's not alright, you're my son and we want to know more about you and Archer," Amy says determindly. "Please stay so the five of us can become aquanted with one another, Parker will come around."
The pleading look in her eyes causes me to fight with myself on what to do. Finally by the time Parker and Patrick enter the living room, I sigh softly, nod and say, "I'll stay for a little while then, thank you."
Amy, Abby and Patrick smile in satisfaction as Parker silently scowls at me and my baby. Setteling on the furnature in the living room, after Amy and Abby bring out drinks and a few snacks we start talking.
