Michael struggles out of the local McDonalds to the bus stop. Today just so happened to be the day the thunder storm took it's toll on the small city of Wilmington. The winds picking up, Michael just wants to get home and color his hair the new blue color he bought earlier, but the weather disagrees by down pouring down, and the wind making the rain drops fly into Michaels face while he runs to the bus.

On rainy days like this the city folk either bring umbrellas but since it's a thunder storm they have a cover over the benched in area for those people riding the bus - even though they advise not to go out in such harsh weather.

He finally sits down on the bench, out of breath. He didn't even seem to notice the girl sitting there, with something different - a notebook. She takes a look at Michael and smiles before writing some words down into the notebook. Michael just smiles and relaxes before the bus arrives. His eyes were about to flutter closed when someone throws something at his lap. When he looks down it's a baggy full of peanut butter cookies, he looks over at the girl who is smiling from ear to ear. This is the happiest she's felt in a while, she doesn't have many friends except her younger brother and parents.

"Want one?" he asks, she just puts a finger up before pulling out a baggy full of oatmeal raisin cookies. She smiles before taking a cookie out as Michael does the same, they clink cookies and then take a half-of-the-cookie bite. They both burst out into laughter but one can only hear Michaels laughing, it appears they were both laughing - they both were.

The bus seems to be late again, but Michael and the girl being the only ones there like yesterday makes it feel much more relaxing then a bunch of giddy children running around screaming. Michael hates little kids who rambled on and on over nothing important, like dinosaurs or how they don't want to leave the park.

"I'm bored" Michael says, the girl looks up at him before pulling out a pink sticky note pad - she bought to match his hair - writing some things with her pencil.

Her: me too

She slides the paper over to Michael, he reads it with confusion before taking the cheap pen he hooked behind his ear before he left the house and wrote.

Michael: what's your name?

Her: Leah

Michael: that's a pretty name Leah :)

Her: thanks

Michael: what were you writing?

Her: nothing

Michael: okay

The girl looks at the pad of sticky notes before stuffing it in her jean jacket while the bus pulls up. Michael clutches his grocery bag to his chest before dashing for the bus, the girl, Leah, following right behind him with her shoulder bag with her book, notepad and pencils. Leah sits in the back, where she usually sits and Michael sitting one seat behind from where he was seated yesterday.

The bus goes to all of the stops, some no one gets off and others very few gotten on and off at the more popular destinations. When it gets to Michaels stop he grabs his bag, right as he gets up a sticky note is placed on his shoulder. He pulls it off and reads:

See you later Michael

He smiles before tucking the note in the bag before darting off the bus, trying to get home without getting soaked.

|| I have 4000 reads and that's so cool, even though this book is boring in my opinion, but whatever you like//
