There was knock on the door when me and Aiden were making out.

"What!" Aiden growled.

I chuckled.

"Don't raise your voice at me young man!"

It was Daphne.

Aiden mumbled under his breath.

I grabbed one of his t-shirts and put it on. It smelled like him.

Aiden opened the door.

"I need to speak to the both of you."

Aiden nodded and she came in.

She sat on the bed and held my hand tight.

Her eyes were swollen.

I could see dried tears running down her cheeks.

"What's wrong Daphne?" I asked.

"Uh- I guess I could officially say you are the last red wolf."

I widened my eyes.

"What are you saying?" I asked, not wanting it to be the reason I was thinking.

"Well, a rouge was spotted in our territory. One of our warriors acted on instinct and um, killed your brother."

Tears ran down my cheeks.

My brother was, dead!

I couldn't believe it.

"Mary, I'm so sorry."

"No! If I hadn't spot you in the forest and you hadn't chased me, my brother would be alive! It's all your fault!"

I faced Aiden and Daphne, both looking hurt.

I ran down and into the forest.

I just kept on running.

A cliff was near by.

I went up and shifted.

I let out a sad howl.

There was a whimper behind me.

I could tell it was Aiden.

He walked beside me and sat with me.

He had silver fur.

He nuzzled under my neck.

We stayed there looking at the moon all night, in silence.

The next morning,

I woke up in a bed.

Aiden carried me back?

I went downstairs.

"You okay sweetheart?" Daphne asked.

I nodded.

"I'm sorry for lashing out."

"It's okay."

I smiled and went for breakfast.

Aiden sat beside me.

"Who exactly killed my brother."

"Just a warrior."

"Oh."

"Actually, I don't really blame that warrior for your brother's death."

"Oh?" I was burning with rage right now. But I needed to endure, I couldn't bear us fighting right now.

"I mean, he acted out of instincts. No one knew he was your brother."

"Anything else you wanna tell me?"
