"I'm waiting?" Aiden tapped his foot.

"I'll let Marilyn do the talking."

And Daphne left.

"So?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, how old are you?"

"20."

Gosh, he has been waiting for 2 years.

"You've been waiting for her for 2 years hei?"

"So?"

"Would you love her?"

"Definitely. I would give her the life."

He sighed. He wa sad.

"I know she'll come. But I can't rule the werewolves without her." He said sadly.

"My queen." I saw a tear fall.

He was waiting for me.

I released my scent.

Aiden took a sniff and faced me. Staring into my red eyes.

"Mate." He mumbled.

"Look i-"

I was cut off by him kissing me.

I returned the kiss.

I pulled away. Fire whimpered a little at lost of contact with Aiden.

"And 2 hours ago you said you hated rouges." I said sarcastically.

"Ugh, why must rouges be me and my father's mate. And before we meet them, they get hurt because of us." He rolled his eyes.

I chuckled.

"Look, I'm sorry for treating you as a rouge. It's just that rouges are a painful reminder that my pack has hurt my mother before. That's why I hated them." He faced down.

I took his chin and lifted his eyes.

"It's okay."

He smiled and kissed me again.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For giving another chance to prove myself."

At dinner, Aiden came to my room early.

He took my hand and pressed a kiss on my forehead.

I was happy. But it was only because I was his mate. If he knew I was no one, he wouldn't care.

But who could blame him? Rouges are mistreated.

I can't believe a year ago I was saying I will reject my mate and be independent forever. What was I thinking?

Yeah. What were you thinking?

Shut up!

I told you mate will take care of us, but you being the stubborn human and said you will reject him.

Oh just stop talking Fire.

It took you 19 years to understand-

I tuned her out. She was being annoying.

We walked down together.

Caden and Zane were growling.

We sat down and luckily, Daphne and Aiden were sitting beside me.
