Scarlett

"Work from your core, Taylor! That's where the power comes from, deep breaths, you can do this." I instructed the 'I'm better than you' thirteen year old. I missed working with the younger children, they never failed to bring a smile to my face. I've been moved to work with the more advanced girls for the next couple of weeks and I already hated it. Not that all the girls were bad, some were very sweet, but the ones with attitude could be a handful.

"I am! You're just not paying attention, you never do!" She snapped at me. Taylor's moods have been all over the place this week, one day she's sweet as pie, the next she's your worst nightmare.

"Try it again." I attempted to sound calm but she knew she was getting under my skin.

"Why? So you can stop paying attention and focus on your rock star boyfriend? Newsflash; he's not going to wait for you forever." She screamed back at me, her voice dripping with spite and anger.

"Taylor! What is with you lately?" I hissed at her. I'd had enough, she pushed me too far.

"Nothing!" She yelled back. By now we had most of the gym's attention.

"Girls continue your routines, I'll be back in a minute." I shouted throughout the gym. I grabbed onto Taylor's hand and lead her into the hall. Something was definitely up, she never had mood swings like this.

"I'm sorry for being rude Miss Pierce, please don't get me in trouble." Her bottom lip formed a pout and she stared at me with pleading eyes.

"Oh sweetheart," I tucked a stray hair behind her ear, "I'm not going to get you in trouble. Why don't you tell me what's wrong?" I soothed.

"It's embarrassing!" She blushed, her eyes glued to the floor.

"You can trust me, I promise." I coaxed.

"I um... I got my period yesterday." She mumbled.

"Is this your first one?" I asked. She nodded her head and I tipped her chin to look at me. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. Every girl gets her period, even old people like me!" I teased. Actually, come to think about it, I haven't had my period in well over a month. It was probably from the stress of a new job and Ashton leaving.

"Now, I want you to go in there and do what you think is best. If you want to practice your stretches, go ahead. If you just want to go over your routine again, that's fine. If you need anything I'm here." I smoothed the stray hairs once more and hugged her close before sending her on her way.

Ashton'

"Goodnight Toronto! Canada you've been great!" I yelled into the mic.

"You guys have been 'Eh plus' get it? Get it?!" Calum giggled, that kid was so corny.

"We have to go now, but we'll be back for your beautiful faces soon!" Michael shouted, knowing just how to rile the fans up.

"Bye, we love you!" Luke yelled. The lights faded, music quieted, and we all ran off stage to the dressing room.

"Well boys, another great show!" I smiled, pulling them all into a sweaty group hug.

"Ended just in time too, your skype date with Scar is in ten minutes." Calum reminded me, sending me into a panic.

"Oh god I'm all sweaty and my hairs a mess and oh boy do I need to shave! I can't go on camera, there's no way! Luke will you stand in for me?" I groaned, I wanted to look nice for Scarlett, not like a drenched rat.

"As much as I'd love to see the brunette beauty, I can't take your place. She's already seen you at your worst, she went through puberty with you remember?" Luke winked and nudged my side with his elbow. The whole room erupted with laughter. Prepuberty Ashton was not the best Ashton.

"You're right. I better go, I'll see you guys back on the bus!" I shouted over my shoulder as I ran out the backdoor to the bus. I liked having our skype dates here, in my bunk, where it was quiet. That is, until the rest of the boys got on.

*Ding!* *Ding!* *Ding!*

The familiar chime echoed through my headphones as I accepted Scar's call. She looked breathtaking as always. Her auburn hair was swept over one shoulder in light waves, her face was bare, and she was wearing one of my t-shirts she stole. I was so caught up in her beauty that I almost forgot to say hello.

"Hey lovely." I smiled, ruffling my hands through the mop of hair I had. "How was work?" I asked. She instantly groaned and threw herself back on her bed. God she's adorable. "That bad huh?" I laughed.

"One of the girls got her period today and guess who faced her rage?" She sighed, sitting back up.

"I'm guessing you?"

"Oh like you wouldn't believe! I told her work from her core and she started to snap at me about how I'm always distracted and never any help. I love my girls, I love helping them, but sometimes I want to wring their necks! Ash, was I ever that bad on my period?" She asked, biting down on her lip as she did. I could tell she was thinking about something but decided not to press her on it.

"As long as there was chocolate and strawberries around, you were fine. However, if they weren't it was a living nightmare." I chuckled, thinking about the numerous times I had to go to the shop at midnight for her chocolate. "You're much better now, I don't even notice when you're on it anymore." I smiled.

"That's because I haven't been." She giggled, as I blushed.

"Well that might explain why I don't notice!" I argued, trying to cover up my mistake.

"Don't worry, I'm sure it'll happen soon and you'll be at the blunt end of it Mr. Irwin." She replied cockily.

"Oh no, I think Jess can have you for that week." Jess was, is, Scarlett's closest girl friend. With me being on tour, they've gotten so much closer. I was a little jealous in all honesty.

"Oh speaking of Jess, can we rearrange this Friday's Skype date? I'm having a movie night with her." Scarlett asked, flashing me her best puppy dog eyes.

"You're having movie nights with someone other than me? You've broken my heart. You truly have." I gasped, clutching my chest with both hands.

"When you come back, we'll have a week long movie marathon. Deal?" She bartered. One look at those beautiful hazel eyes and I gave in.

"Deal." I grumbled. Only forty six weeks to go.

I'm sorry guys I know this seems like filler but it really is important! You have to get to know the characters before all the drama begins right? I'm sorry if you hate me, just give it some time. Also I'm canadian so any stereotypes I mention are 100% true, trust me.
