"Hi!" You greeted enthusiastically, your face lighting up as y/bf's image appeared on your screen.

"Hey! How's my favorite girl?" he asked, his smile radiating warmth.

"Good now that you're here," you replied, your voice reflecting the relief of seeing him.

Today had been particularly challenging for you as you were unwell, feeling miserable until his call brightened your day.

"You're too cute," he chuckled, a sound that never failed to melt your heart. His laughter was like sweet music to your ears.

"What did you do at school today?" you inquired, wrapping the covers around yourself as he began to speak.

"Just the usual. What about you?"

"I didn't go today; I'm sick," you revealed, immediately succumbing to a fit of coughing.

"Aw, why didn't you tell me? I would've let you rest instead of calling," he said, concern evident in his voice.

"No, I'm fine. I need to talk to my boyfriend to feel better," you pleaded.

"Are you sure? I don't want my girl feeling too sick," he double-checked, his sympathy shining through.

"Yes, I promise I'm fine."

While y/bf continued sharing details of his day, a twinge of sadness crept over you. You couldn't help but feel a pang of longing, knowing that you were separated by a mere computer screen. You tried to hold back your emotions, but the combination of sickness and distance became overwhelming.

"Me too! Now I can finally hold you in my arms."

"I'm so excited I don't know how I'll ever get to sleep," you giggled, a smile still lingering on your face.

"What if I sing to you?" he suggested, reaching for his guitar.

"I'd love that!" you agreed, resting your head on your pillow.

He began to strum some chords, singing your favorite song. His voice was like that of an angel, and it truly melted your heart. By the time he played the final notes of the song, you were already fast asleep, his voice providing you with a profound sense of security.

"I love you, y/n. Can't wait to see you," he whispered, ending the Skype call.

In just a week's time, you would finally be able to hold y/bf in your arms and express how much you loved him.
